The Japanese anime distributor Bandai Visual will sell a 280-minute Gundam Big Expo Special Stage Best Selection DVD set on December 22. Gundam Big Expo marked the 30th anniversary of the Gundam robot anime franchise at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center from August 21 to 23. The two-disc set will include footage from seven stage events.
Tohru Furuya, the voice of the main character Amuro Ray from the first Gundam series, appeared in the three "Pilot G30th" stage events. Director Seiji Mizushima and the main cast of the latest Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, hosted the "Gundam 00 Next Mission" event. In "White Base Dōsōkai" (White Base Veterans' Reunion), the voice cast of the first Gundam series reunite. On the other side of the figurative battlefield, the cast of the ruling Zabi family reenacted the famous "Sieg Zeon" speech from the same anime in ”Zabi-ke no Shōzō -Sieg Zeon-" (Zabi Family Portrait -Sieg Zeon-). Coverage of the "SD Gundam Academy" event concludes the discs' contents.
