Samurai Sentai Shinkenger's End is Nigh
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Finale
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger's finale is due next week, February 7. On the recent picture that I have seen (posted above), it shows the final battle of the Shinkengers being suit-less. This means that they will fight Doukoku in their civilian forms.

This gonna be a bloody yet awesome finale. Watch out for it!
[MV] Shining☆Days - Minami Kuribayashi
As promised yesterday, I'll be hooking two music videos for this week. So here's the second one. It's the theme song of the girl fighting anime, My-Hime. The song is Shining☆Days, sung by Minami Kuribayashi. She is the same gal who sang the ending themes of the tokusatsu, Cutie Honey.

If only you were my fated person

Inside the shining wind
The wings of a dream descend
Have courage and fly to the future,
So beautiful

I want to go meet you right now

And not let go of this moment
You have brightened my life

Oneechanbara Vortex Movie Review
[SkewedS] Oneechanbara Vortex
Synopsis: Aya, a woman skilled with swords and possesses the cursed blood of the Imichi wanders through the silent streets, clearing zombies in her way along with her sister Saki.

While fending off attackers, they encountered Misery, a mysterious woman who knows the mystery behind the zombie outbreak. She asked Aya and Saki to assist her in her goal to stop an organization who killed Saki's parents and is behind the volleys of zombies.

Willing to help Misery and end the catastrophe, Aya and Saki got caught into a one-sided situation and later unfolds the secret of the organization.

Though Oneechanbara Vortex is the sequel to the first movie, the characters are different and the story has no relation with the first movie.

The story isn't well exciting to start off, the actions scenes aren't much convincing either. The film also has numerous non-progressing spots that elongates a scene which makes you feel you've watched that part long enough. One of the many examples would be the ritual scene and the final boss fight.

Most of the CGIs or special effects are also not convincing enough. Blood splattering through the screen is OK once in a while but it hinders the audiences view on the later part. Another non-pleasing part would be the red tints. One noticeable part of the movie to intensify the battle scene with a flock of zombies would be shaking and tilting of the screen. From time to time, you'll get distracted with the blood splatters.

Comparing with the first movie, Aya and Saki isn't the silent type. They have a lot more dialogues they threw. There's more civilians who took part this time though mostly are kids. Aya's old friend Reiko have a small role/appearance with the movie thus, there was little action with her rifle skill.

The "cursed blood" of Aya has been defined more in this movie than in the prequel; whenever Aya is in bloodlust mode, she goes into berserk though she didn't went to full-power. Aya and Saki's fighting scenes were limited in terms of movement, you can really see they had a hard time swinging their swords specially Aya since she wields two. You'll heed she shouts and grunts a lot too.

You may notice on the film that one of the civilian kids is wearing a Go-On Red Mask. Go-on Red is from the tokusatsu series Engine Sentai Go-Onger.

Overall, you can say that this movie is just your average low-budget film. If you have seen the first movie, you'll probably think the prequel's better.

Cast:
• Tejima Yuu
• Arakawa Chika
• Kawamura Rika
• Ozawa Akari
• Imura Kumi

Yu-Gi-Oh! 2010 Movie Debuts at #6
Yu-Gi-Oh! Movie: Super Fusion! Bonds that Transcend Time
Yu-Gi-Oh! Movie: Super Fusion! Bonds that Transcend Time (Gekijō-ban Yu-Gi-Oh! ~Chō-Yūgō! Jikū o Koeta Kizuna~), celebrating Yu-Gi-Oh! anime's 10th year anniversary, is finally shown in Japanese theaters last January 23. According to reports, the movie debuted #6 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's Japan Box Office. The movie features the meeting of the anime's top three duelist: Yugi Mutou (original series), Jaden Yuki (GX) and Yusei Fudo (5D's), to defeat the evil Paradox.

Storyline (Wiki):
While riding with Jack Atlas and Crow Hogan, Yusei Fudos's Stardust Dragon is captured by Paradox, a mysterious Turbo Duelist from the future, during a Turbo Duel and turned into a Sin Monster. With the help of the Crimson Dragon, Yusei chases after Paradox as he enters a time slip, ending up in the past. During this time, Paradox duels against Jaden Yuki, who is still able to use the powers of Yubel and The Supreme King.

However, by this time Paradox had also captured Cyber End Dragon and Rainbow Dragon and overwhelms Jaden. He is saved thanks to Yusei and the Crimson Dragon. Jaden informs Yusei of Paradox's true intentions. By stealing various monsters from across time and turning them dark, he plans to kill Maximillion Pegasus, the creator of Duel Monsters, preventing the game from being created and causing the events of all three series to never happen.

Yusei and Jaden agree to pursue Paradox, which leads them to the past and causes a meeting with the King of Games, Yugi Mutou. However, by the time Yusei & Jaden arrive, Paradox had already attacked his time, supposedly killing both Pegasus and Yugi's grandpa. After explaining everything to Yugi, he agrees to fight with Yusei and Jaden against Paradox in the ultimate three-on-one duel to free the trapped monsters and save both the world and time itself before it's too late.

The movie earned US$1,152,259 in 124 theaters.

[MV] Sora-Iro Days - Shoko Nakagawa
Since last week, I failed to post last week's Music Video (due to a family emergency), I'll be posting two music videos for everyone's pleasure. First up is the theme song of the mech/ecchi anime, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. The song is entitled Sora-Iro Days (Sky Blue Days), sung by the gravure idol, Shoko Nakagawa.

Sora-Iro Days by Shoko Nakagawa

Kimi ha kikoeru?
Boku no kono koe ga yami ni munashiku suikomareta
Moshimo sekai ga imi wo motsu no nara
Konna kimochi mo muda de ha nai
Can you hear it?
This voice of mine was sucked emptily into darkness

If the world has meaning to it,

Then these kinds of feelings aren't futile

Akogare ni oshitsubusarete akirametetanda
Hateshinai sora no iro mo shiranaide
I was crushed by my longing and had given up
Without even knowing the color of the endless sky

Hashiridashita omoi ga ima demo
Kono mune wo tashika ni tataiteru kara
I began to run, because my feelings, even now,
Are definitely beating against my heart

Kyou no boku ga sono saki ni tsudzuku
Bokura nari no asu wo kizuite yuku
The me of today will continue towards our destination
We'll amass our own tomorrows

Kotae ha sou itsumo koko ni aru
The answer, yes, is always right here

Sugita kisetsu wo nageku hima ha nai
Nido to mayotte shimawanu you ni
Kazoekirenai hon no sasayaka na
Sonna koukai kakaeta mama
I don't have the time to lament the seasons that have passed
So that I won't ever waver again

With countless, tiny little

Regrets carried in my arms

Sono senaka dake oikakete koko made kitanda
Sagashite ita boku dake ni dekiru koto
I've come this far, having chased only after your back
It's something only I, who sought you, can do

Ano hi kureta kotoba ga ima demo
Kono mune ni tashika ni todoite iru kara
Those words you gave me that day, even now,
Definitely reach my heart

Kinou yori mo kyou ha bu ha boku no
Umarete kita wake ni kidzuite yuku
I've realized my reason for having been born
Today more than I did yesterday

Kotae ha sou itsumo koko ni aru
The answer, yes, is always right here

Subete ga marude atarimae mitai datta
Toutoi hibi ha mada owaranai soshite mata
It was as if everything was completely natural
Our precious days haven't ended yet, and then, again

Hashiridashita omoi ga ima demo
Kono mune wo tashika ni tataiteru kara
I began to run, because my feelings, even now,
Are definitely beating against my heart

Kyou no boku ga sono saki ni tsudzuku
Bokura nari no asu wo kizuite yuku
The me of today will continue towards our destination
We'll amass our own tomorrows
