This year's 39th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed that the pirate manga and anime will get a new game for the PlayStation 3 entitled “One Piece Pirates Musou.”
The "dream collaboration" will combine the pirate story of One Piece with the Musou action game franchise. According to the official site, Bandai Namco Games is working with Omega-Force, the developer best known for Tecmo KOEI's Musou (Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Warriors Orochi) franchise.
The release date and price are still TBA. Premium preview footage from the “One Piece Pirates Musou” game will be shown during the Tokyo Game 2011 event at the Makuhari Messe center on September 17th and 18th.

Hope it doesn't becomes another beat-em-up Musou game.

just a matter of time and since its on the ps4 i dont really care too bad its not for the psp
Finally! I've been waiting for this. And while I am a bit disappointed it isn't a fighter/adventure title (like the early PS2 games), a musou game works just as well.
I still would of liked for it to be done by CyberConnect, same with the Bleach game, but I guess they all might have been similar (Naruto, Bleach & One Piece games). Speaking of, I hope they do One Piece justice and make it fun and not just cut and paste OP onto s musou template.
Ah! I'm too overcome with joy to make complete sense! Finally...
@anon all musou games are beat'em up kind
@Peter I think you mean the PS3
