The the massive surprises we got yesterday from the 36th Super Sentai series, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters (特命戦隊ゴーバスターズ), it didn't last long before the actual plotline for the series to be revealed:
"A long time ago, among moutains far from any civilization, there was a center researching on human innovation. One day, the main computer of the research became malicious and went berserk. Humanity managed to stop this, and peace came back...or so it seemed.
Humans, now in peace, predicting that their enemy could go berserk and attack another time, decided to build giant robots and machine, and trained chosen warriors to fight against it. Finally, this day has come. The name of the team formed to fight against the enemy is Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters! Now their battle begin."
The team is composed of the Gobusters and their Partner Buddy Roids: RedBuster, BlueBuster, YellowBuster, Chida Nikku, Gorisaki Banana, and Usada Lettuce. The catchphrase seems to be "It's Time for Buster!"
Their main mecha Go-BusterOh will be made up of three individual mechas:
Go-BusterAce - Chida Niku transforms to cockpit for Red Buster, then the cockpit attaches to his BusterMachine, making it Buster Vehicle CB Cheetah (a race car). Buster Vehicle to Buster Animal CB Cheetah, and then Tokumei Henkei into Go-BusterAce.
GT-02 Gorilla - Gorisaki Banana to Cockpit and attaches Buster Machine to become Buster Vehicle GT Gorilla (a truck), which becomes Buster Animal GT Gorilla.
RH-03 Rabbit - Usada Letas to Cockpit and attaches Buster Machine to become Buster Vehicle RH Rabbit (a helicopter), which becomes Buster Animal RH Rabbit.
The Go-Busters transformation device, the Morphin' Brace (モーフィンブレス), a wrist changer that releases shades for the heroes to transform. This is the official return of the wrist changers ever since mobile phones was used.
The Morphin Brace has a "Henshin Mode" (transforms the rangers), "Call Mode" (summons Buddy Roids), "Let's Driving Mode" (summons Buster Machines), "Analyze Mode", "Robo Mode" (activates GobusterAce), "Game Mode" (play a game using the dial on the MorphinBrace) and "Special Mode" (secret mode activated via the brace's dial).
The last users of wrist changers are the Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger (as a team), DekaBreak and BoukenSilver (sixth), GekiViolet, and Go-onGreen/Black.
Lastly, the Go-Buster's weapons: the IchiganBuster, a gun disguised as a camera; and, the SouganBlade which is a sword disguised as a binoculars. Both can combine to form the "Ichigan Buster Final Buster Mode."
Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters will premier on February 26th.

werent the last users of a wrist changer as a team the abarangers?
Huh....fighting a sentient computer?
....I'm seriously convinced that there's some Power Rangers references sneaking into Sentai now. I mean...I'm not trying to sound all high and mighty as a PR fan and trying to stick PR references into everything....but you gotta admit. You can feel a little of the RPM plot line in that.
Otherwise I'm even more inclined to watch now. :)

The last users of wrist changers are the Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger (as a team), DekaBreak and BoukenSilver (sixth), and Go-onGreen/Black.
And GekiViolet and Abarangers?
At first when I saw the costumes I was disgusted but after 5 minutes of looking at it I fell in love, this sentai is looking good
"The Gobusters transformation device, the Morphin' Brace, a wrist changer that releases shades for the heroes to transform."
SERIOUSLY?! that is so disney's Jungle fury~!
Dang. I forgot about the other wrist changer users. -_-
niku, banana, letas = meat, banana, lettuce = my lunch
Wow, this is different and unexpected.
Yup. Were getting PR RPM kind of similar to this.
Are their wrist morphers really the first one's to be used since Abaranger??? Are the Gekirangers' Geki Changers not wrist morphers?
I love that they're calling the transformation device "Morphin' Brace." Seems like a nice little nod to Power Rangers.
I have a very distinct feeling based on the head that red's robot partner is going to turn into a motorcycle.
Okay, it's official: they're theying to merge Power Rangers with Super Sentai! As if trying to keep the differences between the shows straight in my head wasn't difficult enough. :P
^i meant "trying", but the message stands.
And obviously I'm not being serious.
@Anon6 I don't know, if you think about it the geki changers are more like gloves than a traditional brace changer.
@~gAb
this may not be sentai related but a certain UltraSeven already used the shades henshin device, so the Jungle Fury reference is rather moot
You forgot to include the henshin call in the post. I'm pretty sure it;s suppose to be (and I say this in all seriousness) "It's Morphing Time". And no I'm not making that up or trying to make a stupid joke. Other people have reported on it, it might really be a thing.
>Computer goes sentient
>Bulid machines to fight computer
Good luck, hope that works out for ya.
morphing means seamless transitation i don't think it uses morph because of PR or whatever. it think because of the animals that changes appearance
Don't you think trying to find the similarities and differences between Sentai and PR is a little asinine?
Dude, maybe it's a commentary on PR! This sounds really campy and really silly, which can either work really well, or crash and burn. I love camp, but only if it's carried out well.
@ThatChick- I was honestly kind of thinking the same thing. If the rumors that suggest a campy/comedic direction are true, I could easily see this as being something of a parody of PR.
Soo i'm guessing the rumors about smart phone changers are out =P lol
I'm guessing rumors about a space sheriff Mentor is also out? >.<
hold evil computer vs humans & machines mix did like also took a page of RPM?
unless if more similar like RPM now we know.
Sounds cool. Does sound a little like RPM, but I'll trust Gobusters to make it different. Nothing about an apocalypse, so that's a point for Gobusters. I find it funny that we have a Sentai mixing two of Power Rangers' most recent original inventions, but all the time Power Rangers uses stuff from Sentai kinda makes me more forgiving when Sentai does it.
This story also gives an opening for how Gobusters can appear in Gokaiger vs. Gaven, despite the villain (presumably) not there yet: Training mission. I doubt we'll see anything, but my vision is like the scene in the Timeranger tribute, where the Gobusters are training and see the fight, see some other villains about to make things difficult and jump in. (That's how I see the Goseiger cameo working in Shinken vs. Go-on).
Counting.... so it's as you have rumored before... Goukaiger will end at the 52nd Episode..... ^^:
IT'S MORPHIN BRACE TIME!! =D
If Gokaiger does not take a break between Christmas and New Years, then it will have 52 episodes total, but if it does then it will only have 51 episodes. Although, according to http://www.toei-video.co.jp/DVD/sp21/supersentai.html
which does list Gokaiger having 12 volumes for both DVD and Blu-ray, it is showing that Volume 9 will only have episodes 33-36 on it which will be released in Japan on March 21, 2012.
gobusters=ohrangers
Six hundred million years ago, Pangaea created a robot named Bacchushund, who turned on his creators. The King Ranger defeated Bacchushund and banished him from Earth. In the year 1999, Bacchushund returned to Earth as the ruler of the Baranoia Empire, with the intention of wiping out all human life and bring about machine rule. Chief Counsellor Miura revived super energies that had been born of the lost civilization of Pangaea. With the assembling of pieces of a stone plate uncovered three years previously, the secrets of "Super Power" were revealed. Miura built a pyramid to generate Tetrahedron power in order to allow five UAOH officers to transform into the Ohrangers.
Don't you think trying to find the similarities and differences between Sentai and PR is a little asinine?
Well, as I said before, it's pretty coincidental that this season has a sentient computer as the villain (RPM), has a device called the Morphin Brace (MMPR), and has sunglasses as part of the device (JF and Ultra Seven). It's just kinda funny, if I do say so myself.
Like I said before, I don't try to find complete similarities between the shows, since they are different in a lot of ways, but this kinda made me giggle. Take no offense please. :)

I'm with platsu, (Anonymous Dec. 3, 2011 6:05 AM). I just post what I see, and usually I need others to help me see them. I am not, and I'm sure others would agree, bashing Gobusters.
Bet Gobusters will the most original show ever...er, well, as original as be #36 in a series can be. :D I mean, they go in a million different directions with the computer villain, Morphin is just a word, and sunglasses henshin devices...okay, not much variation there. But I'll wait a few episodes before I accuse Gobusters of copying more than the Sentai formula.
The suits are starting to grow on me. :)
So these zords/mechs are sort of like head masters?
LoL
the clothes look like those of a parachutist... ^---^
Who ya gonna call?
GOBUSTERS!
idk.they just look so...cheap? the costumes i mean.
Whatever to the ghost busting rumour from before?
I'd love a sentai based on that.
Isn't BoukenSilver's henshin device like a Rolex
Well, some of the main creators of sentai actually work on the stories and fight scene choreography for Power Rangers, as well, so the inspiration goes both ways.
