The plot for the upcoming live action adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo's classic cyberpunk manga anime, Akira, have been revealed. The summary was posted on Acting Auditions, an employment resource for actors, official site:

Kaneda is a bar owner in Neo-Manhattan who is stunned when his brother, Tetsuo, is abducted by government agents led by The Colonel.
Desperate to get his brother back, Kaneda agrees to join with Ky Reed and her underground movement who are intent on revealing to the world what truly happened to New York City thirty years ago when it was destroyed. Kaneda believes their theories to be ludicrous but after finding his brother again, is shocked when he displays telekinetic powers.
Ky believes Tetsuo is headed to release a young boy, Akira, who has taken control of Tetsuo's mind. Kaneda clashes with The Colonel's troops on his way to stop Tetsuo from releasing Akira but arrives too late. Akira soon emerges from his prison courtesy of Tetsuo as Kaneda races in to save his brother before Akira once again destroys Manhattan island, as he did thirty years ago.

Finally, after months of waiting, here's the first image of the upcoming live action adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin samurai manga and anime. Kamen Rider Den-O's Tekeru Satoh will the the role of Kenshin Himura.
The image came from the January 2012 issue of Jump Square magazine.
Other stars included in the live action Rurouni Kenshin film are Emi Takei (Taira no Kiyomori, Aysuko Match!) as Kaoru Kamiya, Yuu Aoi (Hana and Alice, Honey and Clover) will play Megumi Takani, while Munetaka Aoki (The Last Message Umizaru, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) will play Sanosuke Sagara, and Taketo Tanaka will take on the role of Yahiko Myōjin aka Yoshi.
In addition, Koji Kikkawa (Kamen Rider W) will play as Jine Udo, Yosuke Eguchi as Hajime Saitō, and Teruyuki Kagawa as Kanryū Takeda.
Warner Brothers Pictures Japan is producing with its president William Ireton, while Studio Swan (Paradise Kiss) is in charge of the actual film production. “Rurouni Kenshin” live action movie is slated for August 25th 2012 release.

More images from the latest issue of a Japanese magazine featuring the upcoming Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs Uchuu Keiji Gavan THE MOVIE had been leaked. This centers around the connection between the two series.
As a celebration to Metal Heroes series' 30th Anniversary, TOEI decided to team-up two of the most unlikely heroes from two franchises, the first Space Sheriff, Gavan, and the treasure hunting pirates, the Gokaigers.
Kenji Ohba will guest star is the movie as Retsu Ichijouj, a.k.a. Gavan. Not only that, he will also transform to his other characters, namely Battle Kenya (Battle Fever J) and Denji Blue (Denji Sentai Denziman).
Gavan Bootleg uses the combined technologies of the Space Police and the Space Empire Zangyack. He is a robot warrior that can replicate all of Gavan's abilities. It also has the ability to pull enemies into Makuu Space.
Unlike Gavan, Gavan Bootleg looks considerably evil. Of course, since it can copy Gavan's abilities, it has a Laser Blade. Expect a jaw dropping sword fights between the two! Who will win?
Makuu prison chief Ashrada has inherited the blood of former space mafia Makuu leader Don Horror. In order to get revenge on Gavan, he activates his own blood and expands Makuu Space in order to try to engulf the Earth!

A new image scan for the upcoming Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs Uchuu Keiji Gavan THE MOVIE had been leaked once again! And this time, it shows the prison which contain the past Super Sentai villains.
The villains in the said prison are Shizuka of the Wind (Boukenger), the three Pollution Ministers — Kegaleshia, Kitaneidas and Yogostein (Go-onger), Yatsudenwani (Abaranger), Gekkou (Boukenger), Bae (Gekiranger), and Jealoushit (Gokaiger).
If you noticed, the three Pollution Ministers have white triangular cloths on their head. This basically shows that they are now ghosts (as seen in Shinkenger vs Go-onger). Apparently, Warz Gil is with them. According to previous rumors, some guy saw them filming a scene where Jealoushitto is in a fist fight with a dead Warz Gil, and Gobusters would show up to hunt him.

Hello there everybody today I am reviewing a Toy. Something I haven't done since 2008. SD Archive RX-78-2 comes from the SD Archive Line that has recently been popping up that are Mobile Suit In Action figures from the same toyline that the SD Gundam Force Action Figures came from as well.
SD has been around a very long time in the franchises history from shows about Kingdoms and Warriors to skits making fun of America's "Wacky Races". But as of lately SD Gundams always seem to bring up the images of SD Gundam Force to people who are not well detailed into the Gundam Franchise.
The RX-78-2 comes with quite a few things that make it truly an awesome figure to have for any reason. Inside the torso it has a Transformable Core Fighter which you can put inside the Gundam if you like or fly it around as an extra. Two beams swords Which are attached to their hilts which make for good swordplay with other action figures from this collection. A beam gun for aiming at any redshirt Zaku's just passing by. A Bazooka for showing all the Dom Pilots who is boss and A shield that can attach to either arm. These accessories make this action figure worth it.
There are some other figures like this. In America when the SD Gundam Force TV show came out there was a Set like this that came with the G-Fighter and could combine with the Gundam to make all of the modes seen in the TV series of Mobile Suit Gundam. That is incredibly hard to find now but I have a feeling I may get to reviewing that someday.
The poseability of this action figure is amazing. the head can move around a whole 360 degrees. the Arms have many positions they can make with how well placed they are, the shoulders move around a tiny bit which makes for some awesome poses. However the legs don't move very well, The only thing that is really poseable on the legs are the feet but they are pretty big and have enough room to spread far enough.
Final Thought:
If you are a Gundam fan this action figure is pretty sweet for all that it comes with. Its perfect to set up anywhere and I really hope Bandai brings out more SD Gundam's for the SD Gundam Archive collection. Wouldn't mind personally seeing Gundam X and Double X.
The first Tokumei Sentai Gobusters cast rumors gave us a total of five warriors. And now, the latest cast rumors only have the supposed three-man core team! This batch includes additional rumors for the 36th Super Sentai series.
The core team will be composed of RedBuster, Sakurada Hiromu (played by Suzuki Katsuhiro), BlueBuster, Iwasaki Ryuuji (played by Baba Ryouma), and YellowBuster, Usami Youko (played by Arisa Komiya).

Yesterday, the pre-screening for the most awaited Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider OOO & Fourze: Movie Wars MEGAMAX film was held. As usual, many people from Japanese boards have been constantly reporting some spoilers for the movie.
We will constantly update this post as spoilers were found or posted.
- Nadeshiko is the cosmic space energy SOLU that has taken a human form. It sees Fourze and creates its own belt and Switches. It's also the one who created Mega Burger Meal.
- Super Galaxy King gets a hold of all the SOLU energy, Nadeshiko disappears and Gentaro goes all emo. At the end, the real Nadeshiko appears.
- At the final battle, there was a medley of WBX, Anything Goes and Switch On. Eiji was singing in the chorus.
- It was kind of a rushed movie. They crammed in so many things that were unnecessary.
- At the start, the Legendary Seven Riders turned into Switches and Medals the came back when Fourze and OOO inserts the Switches and Medals to their belts. At the end, they used their special attacks.
- Shotaro is being chased by Foundation X, Phillip is searching for information about a local dish from Hachinohe. Shotaro transforms into Joker.
- Kamen Rider Meteor appears after credits, kind of like Accel.
- Eiji travels around the world searching for Core Medals. Mainly to find a way to revive Ankh. It's not explained how Ankh came back to life. But he's from the future. This gives Eiji hope that he'll eventually find a way to save Ankh.
- Aqua-Miharu is actually a very timid guy who feels like he can't be a Rider.
Even though he is a water-based Rider, he's scared of water.
The first trailer of the much awaited first part of the two part OVA of the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin New Kyoto Arc has just been posted on the show's official website! This is the first part of the retelling of the show's most popular story arc, the Kyoto Arc.
It will remake the Kyoto Arc which was first seen in the original anime series. The said remake will have Misao's point of view and a major large scale remake on the battle against Shishio. Rurouni Kenshin New Kyoto Arc is part of the anime series' 15th Anniversary along with the video game and the upcoming live-action movie which stars Takeru Satoh and Emi Takei.
Director Kazuhiro Furuhashi and Studio DEEN are returning after nine years to animate the new series along with musical composer Noriyuki Asakura. Mari Okada (AnoHana, Wandering Son) is writing the scripts this time.
Hiromitsu Hagiwara (Saint Beast ~Ikusen no Hiru to Yoru Hen~) is the new character designer, and Hiro Kaburaki (Kimi ni Todoke) will take over as the episode director. The cast will remain the same except for the role of Hajime Saitō, who will be played by Ken Narita.
Starting on December 17, the first part will have a week of advance screenings in two Japanese theaters.

It was initially slated for October 21st release, but due to unforeseen event, it was moved out for December 7th released.

It is seen in the most recent Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger episode that TimeYellow asks them to protect the temple where Ninjaman's jar resides, from getting destroyed by the Matrintis Empire. With that, the future Kakuranger tribute episode is finally certain!
The guys from 4chan had posted additional details from the previously revealed Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle pamphlet that states the fate of Kakuranger's Ninjaman.
- There was actually a great battle with many of the Sentai giant robots against the Zangyack's fleet. The robots were destroyed/defeated and that's where the movie picks up from at the start.
- Ninjaman and Datas probably fought in the giant battle but ended up becoming inoperable/unable to fight. Note that it is possible that Ninjaman was sealed back in the jar following the events of the legend war.
- Ohranger's Gunmajin may have fought, but since he is so fickle. Zuban survived that battle and that's why he was still fighting in the war in what we see in the movie.
- In the movie, we're only told Gokaiger takes place "a few years later" but it's approximately 3 years. The only hint of that in the movie is Nozomu's school uniform indicating he is in Grade 8 now.
We are just a few days before the release of most awaited Playstation Portable and Nintendo Wii video game Kamen Rider Climax Heroes Fourze. And with this, a few more information had been revealed including the game's "Mission Mode."
Each character has their own missions, whereas each mission has a basic clear requirement as well as a special challenge. Completing the mission gives you rider points. Special challenges gives you more rider points to purchase new characters and battle styles.
There are over 100 missions. Before each mission starts, there is dialogue between the characters. There are even ones between characters and situations not seen in the tv series.
Here are some addition update for Kamen Rider Fourze's switches:
- Scissors: Grabs the opponent and throws them into the air.
- Beat: Emits a vast amount of ultrasonic waves. Effective at mid-range
- Chain Array: Swings the iron ball around attempting to strike the enemy in the head. Good at mid-range
- Smoke: Emits smoke. If the enemy is hit, it causes them to drop their guard which allows you to dash in to close the distance and attack.
- Spike: You can take advantage of its weight by crashing down on the enemy after a jump.
- Winch: Causes you to swing forward through the air and kick the enemy. Is also good for closing the distance.
- Flash: Shines light over a long range, which hurts the opponent.
- Shield: Counter move. If you block an attack with the shield, you will auto counter attack.
- Gatling: Shoots a number of bullets. Can also be used mid-air.
- Fire States: Attacking at long range is its specialty. Using the gun's flame throwing abilities, you can keep your opponent at a distance.

Actor Eiji Wentz (Gegege no Kitao, Brave Story) is confirmed to play the titular role for the upcoming Ken Ochiai's Tiger Mask live action movie trilogy. The film will began shooting this December for next year's release.
Apart from Wentz, Show Aikawa (Tokyo Zombie, Zebraman) and Natsuna (Kimi ni Todoke, Gantz) joins the lead cast and will play Mister X and the heroine Ruriko, respectively. His mask has also been redesigned with a nod to American comic action heroes such as Spider-Man and Batman.
"Tiger Mask" is the alter ego of pro wrestler Naoto Date, a man who goes against an evil wrestling organization and fights for children in an orphanage. In the new setup for the film, Date dons a special suit and "transforms" into Tiger Mask with enhanced mobility and muscle strength.
As an origin story for children who have never read the manga, the film will devote about one-third of its screen time to Date's roots in the evil wrestling training organization Tora no Ana (before he turned his back on the organization).

The main movie theme song for the the upcoming Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars MEGAMAX film have finally been revealed! It will be entitled “SAMURAI STRONG STYLE.”
“SAMURAI STRONG STYLE” will be sung by Show Ayanocozey of Kishidan a.k.a. DJ OZMA, and Marty Friedman. Ayanocozey did the lyrics and Friedman did the arrangement.
According to reports, this song is another one of those efforts to cheer up Japan after the quake. "Samurai" in the title represents Japanese people, and "Strong Style" represents fighting spirit.
