It has been announced yesterday during the “AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 100 2012” that AKB48 had formed the all girl band “Baby Blossom,” specifically for the release of their 25th single “GIVE ME FIVE!”

“Baby Blossom” is a 18-member band comprised of Atsuko Maeda (G), Yuko Oshima (B), Minami Takahashi (G), Yuki Kashiwagi (Dr), Haruna Kojima (Key), and Mayu Watanabe (Key). The other senbatsu members of the single make up the horn, percussion, and choir groups.

During a short VTR on the event, the idol group started to study and learn how to play the instruments way back in August of 2011. Only three members in the band had previous experience with instruments.

AKB48's “GIVE ME FIVE!”, described as an uptempo graduation song, will be available in four different versions: CD+DVD Type A and Type B, both will have a Regular and Limited Edition (w/ handshake event ticket), for 1542 yen each. Pre-order now and get an exclusive photo as an external bonus!
