Tiger & Bunny THE LIVE Announced!

Tiger & Bunny THE LIVE
As previously reported, Tiger & Bunny producer, Masayuki Ozaki planned to expand the series into the upcoming two film this 2012, and a live action adaptation. With that, they announced the premier of Tiger & Bunny THE LIVE!

If you think it's a live action adaptation, sorry to disappoint you, but it's not. Tiger & Bunny THE LIVE is a stage play that aims to have realistic action in hero "suits," an original story, and the latest techniques in theatrical productions.

Anime and tokusatsu scriptwriter Yasuko Kobayashi (Shakugan no Shana, Trigun: Badlands Rumble, Kamen Rider Den-O, Shinkenger) and playwright Tadahiro Mōri are co-writing the play. Taisuke Morisaki is serving as chief director, while Morihito Kamizato is the actual hands-on director. Osamu Kaneda (Let's Go Kamen Riders, Den-O Final Countdown) is an "acting creator."

More information about Tiger & Bunny THE LIVE and the upcoming two films will be revealed next week. Stay tuned!

The funniest think about this is that i have a ton of friends who love Tiger & Bunny but they won't watch Den-o because they wouldn't like it, but their going crazy for this.

Hmm, but Tiger & Bunny has only 4 ethnically Asian characters (Kotetsu, Pao-Lin, Dr. Saito, and Kaede) so is the result going to be similar to Nodame Cantabile in Paris and Thermae Romae?

  3. Tiger and Bunny would definitely benefit from a Hollywood budget and multinational cast, they've already gone and modelled Rock Bison on Antonio Banderas.
