After the announcement of the upcoming release of all 700+ Power Rangers episodes on home video last March, it has been revealed that the first volume is slated to be released this August.
Via an exclusive multi-year deal with Shout! Factory!, all 700 episodes of Power Rangers that ran between 1993 and 2009 will be released on both DVD and Blu-Ray.
The first multi-disc set, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season One, Volume One 3-Dvd set, will arrive in stores and will be available starting August 21st. This features the first 30 original episodes from the first season. The 3-DVD set is priced to own at a suggested retail price of $19.93.
Pre-order Power Rangers: Season 1, Vol.1 via Amazon
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season One, Volume Two 3-DVD set is slated to arrive on store shelves Fall 2012 featuring the subsequent 30 original episodes.
Moreover, Shout! Factory has teamed up with Time Life to make Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season One 6-DVD set and the 40-DVD collection of Power Rangers: Seasons One - Seven directly available to fans starting July 30th.
The DVD boxed set includes in-depth bonus content such as: a retrospective featurette on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers phenomenon, brand-new interviews with members of the cast and the creative team, and much more!

Man, I want to see some Hip hop kido from the black ranger.
this is brilliant since samurai will be releasing itself separately.
Oh look overrated 90s crap.
Oh god, just take all of my money 8D
Nostalgia is the sole reason why people love this crap so much lawl
Shut up and take my money!
"Oh look overrated 90s crap."
forever alone anon, forever alone...
Power Rangers suck.
Especially the third season.
And the Alien Rangers look gay.
Take all my money, I'll def be getting MMPR thru Space, dunno bout the rest
Suggested price 19.93?
I wonder if that was intentional because the original MMPR was first aired back in 1993.
I'm excited for these releases. The 7 season disc set maybe too outside my budget but the season one set will be mine. :D Shout!, I would've been okay with two sets for season 1, but bless you for the full season.
To everyone who's calling Power Rangers gay and that it sucks, why are you here? Yeah, I know this blog also does Sentai and other Japanese toku, but that doesn't mean you have to be rude on this page. Some of us like PR and, let's be honest, Sentai isn't that different from Rangers.
I would like to echo Jonathan's sentiments above. If you hate Power Rangers, a blog about Japanese tokusatsu shows, Super Sentai, anime, and whatnot isn't the place for you.
ANYWAY, this gives me hope that someday all of the Super Sentai Series from Goranger to Go-Buster (that sounds like the title of a book!) Will eventually be put on DVD with English subs! *fingers crossed* I cannot wait to get Power Rangers: Jungle Fury on DVD--that's my fave PR season at the moment. Mostly because of the Spirit Rangers and the sheer hotnesss of Lilly, the Yellow Ranger.
@AkibaBlack:
Haha good to see i'm not the only one who enjoys both Power Rangers and Super Sentai!!
hey what about selling sub super sentai
they should make an US subsidiary of Toei Channel and show all their stuff subtitled and/or uncensored dubs!!
dat show wuz racist cuz da black nigga wuz also da black renger
@GoSilver
Yeah, I dig both Super Sentai & Power Rangers, although the bad acting, goofy Super Samurai armor, and Bulk & Spike on PR: Samurai is starting to grate on my nerves a bit. And I would kill for a US Toei channel.
@dawg
LoL! You ain't wrong. Don't forget that theYellow Ranger was Asian. Thankfully, they stopped doing that after Season. One.
Yes its time power rangers come back allsome know lets get them back to fox tv so ever one can watch them like it was when it came out foxs kids we need it back go power rangers -samural and can we get a update on were there at real life now and bring back more old rangers to help out maybe bring back the alien rangers and all female episode and a swim suit callnder of all the female rangers and when is the release date for the 7 season box set of season 1-7 and will it be on amazon
@dawg
No its not we had a red ,blue , green ranger played by a black guy look for u self
Never heard about this one.
This is awesome. it was Power Rangers that got me interested in Super Sentai and the world of Japanese Tokusatsu programs. While some of the later incarnations would lack much of the charm and personality of the original Mighty Morphin Era, this is mostly down to sloppy writing and casting horrible actors for the most part, but some seasons of Power Rangers are better than most, much like the various Super Sentai incarnations that have cropped up over the years. The only one that I really have a problem with from the original Zordon era has to be Power Rangers Turbo.... because it was a major misstep in storytelling as a follow up to Power Rangers Zeo.
