NEO ULTRA Q Cast, Story Revealed

After 47 years, Ultra Q, the monster television series that spawned the Ultraman franchise marks its return with Neo Ultra Q! The new 12-episode series will revolve around the investigations between monster appearances and strange ecological phenomenon.

The cast will be led by Onoue Hiroyuki (ROOKIES) as the bar proprietor Hakusan Shohei, Seiichi Tanabe (Liar Game, The Ring 0) as the psychologist Hitoshi Haehara, and Rin Takanashi (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger) as a travel magazine columnist named Emiko Watarase.

Updated monster designs from the original Ultra Q is set appear within the series.

GakuryĆ« Ishii, YĆ« Irie, and other film directors are helming the episodes on the WOWOW cable and satellite channel. It will be a part of “Tsuburaya Productions x WOWOW's Three Great Ultra Projects,” along with HDTV runs of Ultraman and Ultra Seven.

The remastered edition of Ultra Q in full color was released in two sets for the Blu-ray and DVD last year.

Neo Ultra Q is set to premiere this 2013

    it could mean after NEO ULTRA Q, that means there might be a new ultraman series after this. Could be called NEO ULTRAMAN

    (Guy above me) There was an Ultra named Ultraman Neos, but his eries was a 13 episode OVA.

    Though I do hope for a new Ultra series. Personally I'm sick and tired of people focusing on these gimmicky Riders, I mean can you seriously call them Kamen Riders anymore? What ever happen to the Cyborg element of the franchise?

    That's not the problem that he's trying to highlight. Although I have no complains for Wizard, I have to admit that the riders from Decade onwards are just more franchising focused, rather than story driven. Cards, Memory sticks,medal and switches. With money rolling in, what do they have to complain?

    the new ultraman after neo ultra Q could be a remake of the original 1966 ultraman (hayata)or another like tiga after the new ultraman if they go ahead with it, could do another ultraseven series.

    could one of them be a remake of ultraman?
