Meanwhile, here's a good look at the Kamen Rider Kabuto English dub that aired in the Philippines at the Cartoon Network cable channel. This shows clips from various episodes and gives us a preview on how each character sounded like.

What do you guys think of the dubs? Will you watch it?

oh god how could they do this decade and kabuto , how could they do THIS to my favorite rider(and kabuto), they turned two of the most badass riders ever and made them look like power rangers

  2. Anonymous Says:

OMG! My country going to ruin the show that alredy ruined with alternated riders....
And Kabuto, nooooo!!!! That is good rider show!!! Don't ruin it!

  3. Anonymous Says:

MY mistake....thank god, it's not dubbing guys from my country doing both show....
It's worse enough watching they ruin like good show Naruto, Doraemon, Ben 10, all other Heisei Riders....

  4. Anonymous Says:

I would definatly watch this. Although they ruined Ryuki. America ruins all the dubs it does. Hopefully this dub will be good.

  5. Anonymous Says:

The funny thing is they re-used den- o's dub voice actor as decade.

  6. Oh god its horrible. Whats strange is that it sounds like the same guy doing all the voices. Which wouldn't surprise me.

  7. .:BoUnCe:. Says:

Also, it's actually Singapore, not Malaysia.

  8. this would be way better than a Saban's adaptation of each one

  9. Ryulong Says:

How about you credit the guy from /m/ who uploaded this? I know you usually shit post your things mainly from /m/ but a little cred wouldn't hurt. I know you guys probably won't let this go through but at least change this out of respect.

  10. Anonymous Says:

dubs always ruin shows, they always have to give the characters voices that dont match up.

  11. GekiDan Says:

    @Ryulong, uploader properly credited.
    @.:BoUnCe:, post fixed.

    Thanks.

  12. TheJackShindo Says:

Hey guys, I live in Singapore & i must say the eng dubs are NOT so horrible. I believe it's 1 way to introduce Kamen Rider outside of Japan to Singapore other than toy marketing.Decade series is still running here & I'll still catch it since I only watched this series once abt 3yrs ago.

    Shut up

  14. Anonymous Says:

Uhmmm... having lived in a Southeast Asian country for my whole life, though I prefer sub, I actually don't really mind about dubs... especially when this english one is actually much much better than the one dubbed in my language. I must agree with one of the comment, at least it is not Sabanized or Americanized like Power Rangers (though Dragon Knight were indeed awesome, and made people want to watch the original series)

  15. Anonymous Says:

Oh, and I forgot to say this... but some countries (mine for example) only allowed non-english shows to air if it is dubbed (our government reject subs that even English movies are dubbed), so my guess is this dub version is actually a way to have these series be able to get broadcasted. If this means that more love can be spread for Toku, then why the hate for dub, cause it's actually a small kind of saving grace indeed... right? After all, you can always support the sub version later when it is released in DVD/Bluray (countries that aired dubbed version usually released the official sub version with dual language soon after).

As weird as the dubbing is, at least I could watch the whole scene instead of having to constantly stare at the bottom of the screen to read the subtitles.

  17. Anonymous Says:

It's kinda weird to choose to dub Decade since it's like dubbing several seasons of Kamen Rider + Shinkenger, and only using them bit by bit.

Also, isn't the Kabuto also a Singaporean dub. The Philippines usually gets Singapore dubs, like with Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh! years ago. If they air that Decade here and on Cartoon Network, they're gonna confuse kids if they show the episodes with Shinkenger since PR (Super) Samurai also airs on CN here.

  18. Anonymous Says:

i hope this version of kamen rider decade gets aired in the Philippines via Cartoon Network. Although I still prefer the sub version till now, this would be a great way to introduce to new viewers (Kids in general) what kamen rider is all about in its original japanese format! I still remember watching Kamen Rider Kabuto on CN and even though it was dubbed i feel that they tried to give justice to the show!

  19. Anonymous Says:

    @ Anon #3

Actually, the English dubs are done in the Philippines, Ryuki was only adapted by Adness Entertainment in the U.S.

  21. Anonymous Says:

    WTF...kamen cheesy rider...??!!??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  22. Anonymous Says:

the kabuto English dub was good, it's what the show would sound like if it's in English anyway. Think it's because some really like the japanese language more the english language in general for weeaboos

Decade on the other hand sounds over the top but is still good. And as kamen rider is a kids show it's a good dub to make children who are from non Japanese regions who do not know kamen rider to be into the shows and buy the toys.

  23. Anonymous Says:

What irritates me is that the dubs aren't always accurate or direct jap-english translations. Sometimes, the station decides to rewrite the script themselves, and it ends up sounding extremely childish or lame.

Cardcaptors and Samurai X were 2 of the biggest offenders. Just caught Decade in Singapore today, and the dialogue is definitely different from I last remember.

  24. 3:50
    Arata: Transform!
    Gatack Zector: Henshin.

    Wow, fail.

  25. Anonymous Says:

Seriously, what's up with everyone getting angry over the English dub. They seem to hold the spirit of the original. I've seen the original version and they're the same.
I'm really hoping Saban's Power Rider
will come soon. Samurai is ending and what better time to show it than in this year?

  26. Paladin Says:

I'd actually like to SEE the Decade dub completely before condemning it. Hopefully that will be possible one day.

  27. Anonymous Says:

i live in singapore and its because of the dub, i hated kabuto for a while, i find it pretty boring and i stopped watching kamen rider until i found kamen rider w, which is of cos, english subbed with original japanese actor voice, i found the series pretty funny and thats when i re-watch kabuto with english subbed and original voice and now, kabuto is my favourite kamen rider, shitty dub gives shitty perception

  28. Anonymous Says:

den-o is still being shown in singapore. apparently they air decade directly after den-o, skipping kiva. kuuga, agito and hibiki are also not shown in singapore. i wonder what will happen when the shinkengers appear, since sentai is not shown in singapore and maybe most of southeast asia.

  29. Anonymous Says:

you guys need to chill the fuck out. honestly, if u dont like the dub, dnt watch it. all the subbed shows are posted online for your viewing pleasure. this is for children, who just wanna watch kamen rider on tv. for them, this is awesome. maybe this will make it to america one day. for you die hard toku fans who like the japanese versions, they have the subs of every series in kamen rider history plus the movies. honestly, i like watching a show and not have to read the bottom for the words, it lets me focus on wats going on. And again, nobody is taping u to a chair and forcing u to watch masked rider decade in english. seriously. and even if saban did touch it (i would watch it if saban did it) it doesnt ruin the original series. kamen rider is kamen rider, super sentai is supersentai, and power rangers is power rangers. if anybody on this blog feels obligated to watch any show in a format they dont care for, i will officially obsolve u of any obligation. so u can go back to ur lives of watever it is u do and just watch things only u like, and if ur worried that toei wastes their time dubbing things, u need not worry cause its the tv stations that dub it, not toei. if the kids dnt understand japanese, than ur just gonna confuse them with all this japanese talk, honestly, it wont kill anyone to think logically

  30. Just Jack Says:

These were truly hilariously awful. But what's wrong with these nerds (Yes. When you act like that you're fucking nerds.) crying that it "ruined" the show. Are you mentally challenged or something? Didn't know that when dubs come out the original suddenly stops existing. Damn, and I was thinking of going back and re-watching Kabuto too... but now I can't, because it doesn't exist anymore! T^T R.I.P "Onore Decado!" No one will ever hear you again.

  31. Rawfan35 Says:

From what I could understand from decade's the dub wasn't that bad. Kabuto sounded like dirt water though.

  32. Brandon Says:

Seriously... Obsessed fanboys. It could be worse. Stop yer bitchin.

You make us look bad. Its fine. Jesus.

  33. Anonymous Says:

you know, I can't help but wonder...Even though the Japanese dubs sound epic to us, do they sound lame and childish to people who actually speak Japanese? I mean, maybe they only sound cool to us because they are in a foreign language and we can't make out any embarrassing puns that might be spewed at random.

  34. Anonymous Says:

it's not really that bad, I'll look for it

  35. They also did Den-O. Maybe they've been listening to the internet too much but they made Owner sound like Batman.

  36. I've seen the dubs of Ultraman Tiga we got in the US compared to that these are awesome

  37. The voices are not memorable and sound annoying. Tsukasa's voice and tone should be a bit rougher and more serious in this situation, Wataru's voice is douchey. The dialogue is a bad carbon copy. "He shoulda said, I'm just a rider crossing over... Let that stick."
Like Yuma in Zexal saying "Let's go with the flow!"
What I hated about Dragon Knight was that they kept on saying kamen rider, the rider names are long and they were obviously kamen riders. Just say Rider or the the Sub Rider name, that's all. The japanese don't have this problem. Although in decade they say rider too much but it was better than wasting time.

  38. arale norimaki Says:

not bad better then power rangers acting

  39. Anonymous Says:

I don't see why people hate the dub, I think this would be better than Power Rider if Saban makes it as cheesy as Power Rangers Samurai.

  40. Anonymous Says:

If they decide to just dub the kamen rider series i hope they take into consideration of english anime voice actors. I feel they would be able to give this experiment its best chance of success.

  41. Thomas Says:

I really get sick of people hating on dubs. I'm usually all for them (unless it's someone like 4Kids doing them, and then you can hate on them all you want), but in this case, DEAR GOD THESE ARE TERRIBLE. I don't know who approved this, but those people wouldn't know what voice acting was if it hit them in the face. It's some of the most atrocious dubbing I've ever heard. It's worse than most 4Kids stuff. Yes, I went there.

  42. Anonymous Says:

Indeed, it could've been worse. But it definitely could've been better. It's not bad. But it's not good either. It's mediocre, at best.
Point is, Kamen Rider has a huge fan base as is. If they/we want more international followers, they should've put out something better than this. When done right, English dubs can achieve just that, and more.
Until that happens, I'll stick with the originals.

  43. Anonymous Says:

I've only seen kabuto dubbed in English and it wasn't that bad, it got much better as time went on

as for decade, I've already watched it in Japanese so I'll probably be more critical off it.

  44. Anonymous Says:

Singapore's kids tv has actually been showing english dubs of kamen rider as masked rider beginning from Ryuki. I watched an episode here and there back then.
Then during Blade's airing, I decided to get into it, searching out the english subs online.(This was around 2006)

  45. Anonymous Says:

At least they didn't change the belt sounds (except for some of Kivat's lines vanishing). Still, I prefer the subs.

I think that the best way to air Kamen Rider around the world would be to use subs. Have some faith in people's abilities to read the subs and watch what's going on. Of course, "henshin" should not be translated for the subs. Dubbing over everything tends to make a cheesier impression due to how peoples' mouths don't match up to what's being said, and that sucks.

  46. Anonymous Says:

does anyone know if these are for download? I'd really like to see a full episode of this dub

  47. I would watch the Kabuto DUB, it didn't seem that bad. better than busting a dragon knight to it

  48. Im saying unrelated, can you show me the English Dub of Ultraman Max that was aired on CNP for about 2 years ago? I've been looking for this for about a year before sandiess' multiply got suspended

  49. Anonymous Says:

    CURSE YOU, DECADE!!

  50. Singapore never plays any Kamen Rider movies. They only dubbed the series. I wonder if OKTO considers about Decade's movie since the series ended witb a cliffhanger.

  51. Chris T Says:
