The January 2013 issue of Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine launched a new Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam spinoff manga, entitled Advance of Zeta: The Traitor to Destiny (Toki ni Aragaishi Mono). The story starts during the events of the One Year War, in the year U.C. 0079.
The “Advance of Zeta: The Traitor to Destiny” manga begins in the year UC 0079, during the One Year War, eight years before the story of Zeta Gundam. In the first chapter, a boy named Van Asiliaino and his friends attempt to flee the war, and their fates change when they meet a certain soldier.
Yu Akiba will be drawing the new manga, based on Junichi Kamino's novel series of the same name.
