It has been revealed that idol group SKE48 creates a new Guinness World Record with the release of their 1st album “Kono Hi no Chime wo Wasurenai”, with the "most number of music videos in an album". The awarding ceremony was held last November 19th.
The album includes 63 music videos featuring all the members of SKE48.
SKE48 Team S member Matsui Jurina commented, “Being active in SKE48, I never thought that we would be certified by Guinness,” and continued with, “I want to rejoice together with our fans.” Meanwhile Rena Matsui wants to display the certificate in SKE48’s official theater, which will open on December 9th.
Now in their 5th year, Jurina was deeply moved at the growth of the group. “I never thought that we would have 63 members in the first place,” she said.
Akane Takayanagi proudly stated, “For ours, the fact that each and every one of our works have been put into one has been certified. The directors made them with affection for the members, so we’re winning with love.”
AKB48 is certified by the Guinness World Records as the “pop group with the most amount of members”. And earlier this year, the group received the “most number of same product television endorsement within 24 hours”.
