In the next four weeks, Nikkan Sports Shinbun-shan will be publishing a special Weekly One Piece Newspaper. Each issue contains about 28-full color, tabloid-sized pages with child-friendly content, and costs 300 yen (about US$3.60) per issue.
The first issue, which went on sale last Thursday, includes an extended interviews with One Piece manga author Eiichiro Oda and voice cast, and a "tell-all" discussion with the manga's editor. It also came with over-sized illustrations.
It will be available at major Japanese convenience stores and train station newsstands, including Tokyo Shibuya ward's One Piece Mugiwara Store, the Mugiwara Store Osaka at the One Piece Exhibition that opened at Osaka's Tenpōzan Gallery on November 24th, and ASA outlets nationwide.
Issues are available via mail order for a higher 450-yen (US$5.50) price.
