KEN-ON, the talent agency that's handling actor Ryo Ryusei [竜星涼] (Hammer Session, Ouran High School Host Club), confirmed that he will be in the 37th Super Sentai series, Juuden Sentai Kyoryuger (獣電戦隊キョウリュウジャー).
Ryusei will play the role of Kiryu Daigo a.k.a. KyoryuRed. Hinted in his blog a few days ago that there's an event coming up and he's dancing a lot (the press event). Based on the date of the post, the news announcement is supposedly scheduled to show up in the homepage by January 1st.
Long ago, in the time of the dinosaurs, the earth was invaded by forces from outer space. The only people capable of the stopping them was a team known as the Kyouki Ryu no Sha, the People of the Strong Dragons, or, Kyoryuger for short. Now, in the modern world, they return using the powers of the Beast Batteries to fight off this revived threat.
Directed by Koichi Sakamoto (Kamen Rider Fourze) and written by Riku Sanjo (Kamen Rider W), Juuden Sentai Kyoryuger premieres February 17th, 2013.

Hmmm... his casting made me really curious about this show. In Ouran Host, he was very convincing as a weak pale bishonen type, with no leadership trait at all... wonder how his 'new' Red will turn out. My guess is he's going to pull a Sousuke (Goon-Red) or probably Alata (GoseiRed) type...
well, i liked alata in goseiger(no, let me rephrase that, alata was one of the few things i didn't dislike in goseiger), and i think it could contrast nicely with hiromu.
i do love cool-red type such as takeru/shinken-red, marvelous/gokai red and hiromu/red-buster,
but since it already happen two times a row (gokaiger and gobuster) so i doubt they will use cool-red type again, but these are my most favourite red type
based on that reason. my preference would be
1. alata-type, just like two comments above, at first i hate alata cause he's kind of sissy, but after seeing more of his character, he's truly badass, i do love this kind-hearted-yet-badass character
2. hotheaded type, like sousuke, jan or kai or ban. but this kind of character is lil' bit mainstream
Couldn't be any worse that Red Buster.
Hopefully the actors and the story will be good this time.I don't wanna spend another year without sentai.
