Square Enix had released the first few screenshots from the upcoming HD remaster of Final Fantasy X-2, the direct sequel to Final Fantasy X. The game will be included in the release of Final Fantasy X HD Remaster that will become available later this year.
Fans can easily relive the story of Tidus and Yuna without buying another disc for the PlayStation 3, but PSVita versions of the game will be sold separately.
Originally released in 2003 for Sony's PlayStation 2, Final Fantasy X-2 follows the story of Yuna as she seeks to resolve political conflicts in the fictional world of Spira before it leads to war. It was the first game in the series to feature only three playable characters, and an all-female main cast!
Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is slated for 2013 release, in both Japan and North American territories.
