The official website for Infinite Stratos 2 reveals that the second anime adaptation of the IS: Infinite Stratos light novels is scheduled to premiere this Fall.
Additionally, it also posted a digest video of the recent IS All-Night Festival event that was held last April.
Yasuhito Kikuchi is back to direct the anime at 8-Bit and Hikaru Nanase is back to score the music. In addition, Kumi Horii (Zone of Enders) is now handling the character designs and Takeshi Takakura is joined by CHOCO (Busou Shinki) on mechanical designs.
The first anime series that started airing last January 2011 follows the events in the light novel's 1st to 3rd volumes, with minor changes in the plot. The story focuses around Ichika Orimura, who is discovered to be the first male to be able to pilot an IS.
