Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's Neon Genesis Evangelion manga series will be ending in two more chapters, Young Ace magazine announced. The apocalyptic mecha manga is expected to end by June.
August last year, Glenat, the French publisher of the manga, announced that it will end on its 14th compilation volume. Meanwhile last March, Sadamoto commented, "working hard until the very end of the manga … this year."
The Evangelion manga has been running on and off for 18 years, since December of 1994 — before the anime itself premiered on television. The story revolves around the efforts by the paramilitary organization NERV to fight hostile beings called Angels, using giant humanoids called Evangelions that are piloted by select teenagers.
