It's now time of the year where we will get rumors for the 2013 Kamen Rider series. There are two current rumors circulating within Japanese internet communities. One is called Kamen Rider Succeed, while the other is Kamen Rider Break. Let's check them out below:
Kamen Rider Break is said to have circular things around the joints and ears. Its base color is yellow and design seems to resembles that of Iron Man and Kamen Rider Eternal. A sketch (right) was made based on the description.
Meanwhile, Kamen Rider Succeed will be a college agricultural and biotech student. The series' lead female character would be a flower shop assistant and there would be a giant robot called Plantroid. The title would be a pun on the saku, which means “to slice,” and seed.
Previous rumors for Succeed (which seems to be different from the current ones) states that the helmet had a crown design, the crown is "cracked", coloring red and silver. The rider's name seems to come from the act of "succeeding to the throne."
It is just a matter of time before we can get confirmed information on the new Kamen Rider's name. Kamen Rider OOO's trademark was revealed on May 29th, 2010; Kamen Rider Fourze's on May 19th, 2011; and, Kamen Rider Wizard's on June 21st, 2012.

The number five wasn't very prominent in Wizard, will they drop it this year?
im betting that the next kamen rider will have a cameo apperance in the kamen rider wizard movie this summer.
ReplyDeleteSucceed gives me the impression that he'd be a Rider with a plant motif, given the description about it. Anyway, I'm definitely going to keep my eyes peeled on this, as long as the next Rider series will be worth watching and the main Rider decent to look at.

ReplyDeleteThe problem for Fourze is that it was too kiddy and mediocre and the writers were either lazy (Nakashima who has a huge hard on for Meteor) or couldn't give a shit less about what happens next (Sanjo and Hasegawa) and Meteor upstaging the main character.
Wizard's 5 refers to 5 fingers of each hand. The next rider's 6 is hard to imagine... If i use my fingers to count to 6, it ends on my thumb. Maybe a fingerprint scanner?

ReplyDeleteWizard already broke the whole number theme that was occurring with the series. Wizard using 5 fingers doesn't even correspond to the number 5. Don't all kamen riders use all 5 fingers to henshin? You guys are just forcing yourself now. The trend already went back to one with the single ring henshin.
ReplyDeleteNow onto to the new kamen rider 2013. I hope that these rumors are true for a hi tech kamen rider. My favorite riders have always been the science and advance technology types like Faiz and Kabuto. Plus a hi-tech rider will be so badass and cool. Please let it be a tech rider.
I really like the design of the first picture. It's like a cross between Kamen Rider Ichigo and Kamen Rider Kuuga, and I love Kuuga.
ReplyDeleteThe one problem I have with both names is that, to me at least, these don't sound like main Rider names. They sound like secondary Rider names. Hopefully these are working titles.

ReplyDeleteIt's not that he uses five fingers -_- Its that the belt has five fingers on it. He also uses five elements fire water land air and whatevever you want to call infinity light, magic, ect. Regardless of if you think it works or not, there is no doubt that the creators intended to follow the number motif.

ReplyDeleteYou're an idiot. With that logic, Wizard must be an apology for W too since he wields 2 rings when fighting. Hell, Wizard has 11 forms in total right now and since W is the 11th Heisei rider... TOEI MUST BE APOLOGIZING FOR that ABOMINATION TO THE WORLD!
Right, enough goofing, so now I ask.. What does TOEI have to apologize for? For being too kiddy? Fourze was suppose to be lighter after the 2011 earthquake. Also, looking at the projected earnings and the last rating reports on Rising Sun Tokusatsu, Wizard is expected to be the lowest earning for Kamen Rider and is barely doing better than Fourze in TV ratings(Despite having a boost in the beginning, it's currently the 2nd lowest Rider series). So I don't see any reason for TOEI to apologize for making a children's show a little more light-hearted after a national tragedy that still made money.

ReplyDeleteBack to the topic of this article, since there's pretty much a pattern to the neo-heisei era, the next one has to more science/tech based. I like the idea of a plant-based tech rider, sounds very unique and has lots of potential to be interesting.

Yes all Riders use their hands to transform but Wizard actually focuses on the hand, specifically the fact he has to wear a ring on the finger to do so.
He would later get the Drago Timer "gauntlet" where you have to press the thumb to get it to work, again focusing on the hand's digits.
There are 5 Styles: Flame, Water, Hurricane, Land and Infinity.
You can also say that there are 5 Dragon forms if you include the All Dragon form.

ReplyDeleteNumber 5 in wizard represented by 5 fingers on his belt. If they did create wizard with 5 item to insert to its belt to transform, i wouldn't watch it anymore :). He'll die before he had time to transform.

Third wizard name came from wizard of oz which oz was backward from kamen rider zo

But if they still respect with ishinomori job the face of the costume will be blank like fourze or wizard ( no mouth ) shin, zo and j have similar face and zo and j was respective from first and second rider in their era so that mean.........!?
I'd also like to believe he'll also have an inhuman partner, much like Philip (a dead guy who now exist as just a "human" made of data), Ankh (a Greeed), Kengo (a "human" made of Cosmic Energy), and Koyomi (a corpse that can detect Phantoms and needs mana to live). Maybe it may not be revealed until the later part of the series (as in the case of Kengo), but I'd bet that'll happen.
