Idol group AKB48 member Reina Fujie will be starring in a new horror movie production entitled “Nemurihime: Dream On Dreamer”, to be directed by Kooichi Ueno.
Joining Fujie is fellow AKB48 member Miyu Takeuchi, and actresses Erina Nakayama (Kamen Rider Wizard) and Fuyuna Asakura. Yosuke Saito and Kai Ato wraps up the main cast members.
The film centers around a high school girl named Ayame (Fujie) who has the outward appearance of being lifeless due to severe fatigue caused by a mysterious case of insomnia. Because of this, she exhibits traits of a himono onna (dried fish woman) by going home after school and immediately collapsing in her bed. Tormented by sleepless days and nights, Ayame soon has a waking dream predicting her younger sister’s (Takeuchi) death as the line between dreams and reality begins to erode.
“Nemurihime: Dream On Dreamer” will be released in Japan in 2014.
