JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Anime Slated for Spring 2014

The latest issue of Ultra Jump magazine announces that the anime series adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, the third part of the manga, will premiere on Spring 2014. Additionally, it will differ in some aspects from the All-Star Battle PlayStation 3 video game.

The cast for the anime will be announced at the Jump Festa 2014 event on December 21st and 22nd. Furthermore, the staff also wanted to make some modifications or changes on the art style in Stardust Crusaders from Battle Tendency, similar to what they did from Phantom Blood to Battle Tendency. In addition, a compilation of the anime adaptation of the first two parts will air on Japan on New Year's Day.

David Production will still handle the animation with director Naokatsu Tsuda and series director Kenichi Suzuki overseeing the project. Yasuko Kobayashi is in charge of the series scripts, and Takako Shimizu is designing the characters.

Set 49 years after the end of the second series, "Stardust Crusaders" will center around Joseph's Japanese grandson Jotaro Kujo, as both of them have developed mysterious powers known as Stands since DIO has come back, now using their ancestor Jonathan's body as his own.
