The return of the anime adaptation of Mashima Hiro's manga Fairy Tail on Tokyo TV this coming April would be announced on January 8th on the sixth issue of 2014 Kondansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine.
With excitement and great joy of being able to bring the anime to fans in spring, Director Ishihara Shinji mentioned that even though there would be changes in the staff as the show restarts, they are increasing its quality as a whole. Meanwhile, the magazine has listed the cast and staff with Takeuchi Shinji as the character designer replacing Yamamoto Aoi and Bridge as one of the studios in-charged of the series replacing Satelight.

Mashima tweeted earlier this year, “It's actually not over yet. I can't say more than this, but I hope you watch the rerun starting in April and wait for the day I can announce some good news. [...] (In English) Anime is not the end. Don't stop believing.” concluded with a "To Be Continued" title card and he later announced the rerun entitled Fairy Tail Best! which will start on April 4th at 5:30 p.m.
