In a recent event held in his hometown, Detective Conan creator Gosho Aoyama answered a question from a fan about the identity of mysterious Black Organization boss.
For those who have forgotten about this organization, they are the ones who are responsible in turning Shinichi Kudo into a kid. Aoyama is tight-lipped about the identity of the organization's boss, but he revealed that he or she has already appeared in the series.
Aoyama already ruled out Professor Agasa.

Finally!!! I gave up reading this manga coz its getting wayyyy tooo draggy. I might start picking up this series again.
I believe that the BOSS is Araide Tomoaki. Some say that Vermouth tried killing him and why would she impersonate him. It's to throw people off guard. Vermouth is considered the best actor in the world.
Since Sherlock Holmes is such a great influence, I believe that Araide Tomoaki fits professor Moriarty's every being. He's a public favorite, an evil genius, and stays close to Sherlock without being seen.
Gosho Aoyama likes to name things hinting a real life character. LIke Yoko and Conan. Lol. SO I"M GUESSING
