Power Rangers Dino Charge Premieres on February 2015

Two posters has been released by Saban Brands via RangerCrew for Power Rangers Dino Charge as their 22nd entry for the long running Power Ranger franchise. And these confirms that the show would be the adapted the recently concluded Super Sentai Series, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger jumping over Tokumei Seintai Go-Busters.

The series' plot revolves around the Paragon Prisms that were given to a dozen dinosaurs for safekeeping by an alien, but lost when asteroids hit the earth wiping the dinosaurs on it.

On the present time, an intergalactic bounty hunter came to Earth looking for the said Prisms to show how great their powers were with the plan of annihilating the world. With this, a team of Power Rangers was formed in order to find the Prisms first and defeat the bounty hunter and other threats with dino-powered swords, blasters, Zords and Megazords.

On February 2015, Power Rangers Dino Charge will premiere on Nick.

How about 12 rangers... this time include battery 11 & 12...

  2. DP Says:

It was 10 years ago, Feb. 14, 2004, that Power Rangers Dino Thunder premiered. However, Dino Charger should not be related to it.

I am, still shocked that gobusters is getting skipped. Question are they flopping airing it here or out right skipping it totallyl but if they did skip it to be back a yr behind sentai. I hope nick/saban is dropping the two yr one series format. And going back to one yr/one series format and I be happy for 32 episodes season if 40 isn't doable for nick. Also I like the posters and the concept sounds different from kyro and hopefully it is.

How odd. Why jump over Go-Busters? Did it really go that badly in Japan to the point of just being put aside?

  5. Unknown Says:

I'm okay with this. The only question I have is why skip Go-Busters?

  6. So Go-Busters wont be Saban-ed but I did expect Saban to turn Kyoryuger into a Power Ranger Team.

  7. On another note...WHAT THE HELL KIND OF SYNOPSIS AM I READING?! Paragon Prisms, Torin an Alien, an Intergalactic Bounty Hunter as a main antagonist? What the hell, Saban?!

  8. Anonymous Says:

Interesting... They're skipping Gobusters. Did Gobuster fail that miserably that they wouldn't make an English version?

  9. Anonymous Says:

If they skipped Go-Busters, they better skipped ToQger because I do not see if they will make any money from a series that is about trains and if this generation of kids will like it.

  10. Anonymous Says:

    THEY'RE SKIPPING GO-BUSTERS!?!

I mean, I'm rather excited, but I was hoping to be out of college so I could audition for the Kyroyuger adaptation when it came around. But now I'll be too late still! That's luck for you, I guess.

  11. Anonymous Says:

assuming that's the actual promotional poster, it looks great. Shame Parasa is hard to see up top compared to the other Zyudenryu.

  12. Anonymous Says:

I heard this a couple days ago and I'm still shocked that they're skipping Gobuster. I was really wondering what direction Saban would make a GoBuster adaptation go but oh well.

The plus side is that they're is now no chance of Saban making horrible adaptations of two of the greatest Sentai characters every, Enter and J.

  13. Anonymous Says:

Saban, can you...like...NOT make a bad season this time? Your record is not looking very promising. Three bad seasons in a row with a fourth on the horizon.

  14. K.Utahoshi Says:

Oh boy. They basically skipped Go-busters.

  15. Anonymous Says:

    I hate Saban

  16. Anonymous Says:

Since Go-Busters did do poorly in Japan (apparently the lowest tv rating in sentai history), I'm not surprised Saban would skip it. Kyoryuger was really good and adapting it should be easy enough since the sentai was pretty light-hearted with some cool action.

  17. V Says:

As best as I knew, I thought Toei's deal with Saban was they could NOT skip any Sentai seasons. Echoing the sentiment expressed here, did they think Go-Busters was REALLY that bad?

  18. jeff winger Says:

But tiring was always a alien

  19. Anonymous Says:

im not surprised they're skipping go-busters.

    1. The sales for go-busters merchandise reportedly was not good. You gotta admit, go-buster Oh was one of the ugliest primary "megazords" in quite a while. Also, Saban/bandai have really pushed the "zord builder" series, being able to mix and match. Kyoryuger's mechs have a similar style to gobuster's and goseiger's, which go-buster's is completely different.

    2. Think back to the Go-busters fight. The majority of those fights were with the human forms of enter and escape. It would have to be very, very heavily edited to either remove those characters or hire similar looking actors and only show non-face shots of the fights from the footage. It probably would be a very costly job in terms of edits and making new scenes. Im sure nick gives them a very strict budget for a live action series, which is why im shocked they got as many old actors for super megafoce that they did. I was anticipating 5 at most.

I would imagine the paragon prisms are what Saban is calling the Beast Batteries.

I like the idea behind the plot. Never was into the whole "emotion collecting" aspect of the series. I imagine they'll still have the villains representing the emotions but it wont be as played out.

One thing im curious about: will they keep the dino names they used in the show? Or will they call Gabutyra a tyrannosaurus, Dricera a triceratops, etc. We've seen from Megaforce/Goseiger they have no issue keeping the japanese scenes unedited and using different names.

  21. Anonymous Says:

To all the people asking why ther are skipping Go-Busters: it did really bad in Japan, currently is the sentai with the lower ratings. Yes, even worse than Ohranger. But Ohranger had excellent toys sales; Go-Busters toys, on the other hand, had mediocre sales. Saban has seen the numbers and decided it was safer to skip it.

  22. To anon February 13, 2014 at 10:30 AM,

You judging too fast about ToQger even the series is yet to be started. Why don't we just sit down and chill the f up and make our own judgements only after the series started?

  23. Anonymous Says:

strange.. Korea did not skip GoBusters or what they call "Power Rangers GoBusters".

  24. Anonymous Says:

I hope Saban dosen't mess this up

  25. Go to this link for those who wants to listen on the discussion of the announcement:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCp0-mB6bjE

They even shared their opinions about why Saban skipped Go-Busters.

  26. Anonymous Says:

Let's set the record straight, go busters is not a failure, it's ratings were the lowest but kyoryugers were only slightly better. It did sell toys but not as much as gokaiger and kyoryuger. Gokai and and kyoryu had a collectable gimmick that helped sales. It bandai's fault the toys didn't as much. You won't sell well when you don't have alot to sell

  27. Anonymous Says:

Go-Buster didn't actually do that bad. It got a 4 million average in ratings. Kyoryu wasn't much better in ratings but it toys didn't sell as well in previous and following years because there wasn't alot variety in their toys. Kyoryu made 14 billing with the 13 rangers, zords and 26 batteries. Toei and bandai want to continue to ride that gravy train with Saban.

  28. Anonymous Says:

Perhaps they're trying to align the 40th sentai with the 25th power ranger season?

  29. Anonymous Says:

What I'm wondering is: Will they keep the Henshin Dance?

  30. Anonymous Says:

Ok firstly i'm surprised by the fact that they have already decided on the next season, the name, plot and logo. I can remember how slow Mega Force news was. As someone pointed out, Dino Thunder aired way back in 2004 10 years ago. Probably Saban wants to make a dinosaur adaption as early as possible to celebrate that milestone and then adapt Gobusters in 2017. Who knows, only time will tell.

  31. I thought Gobusters is just right for Americanization with that 'Lets morphin' phrase.

  32. Claraaaaa Says:

Waeyo? Why are they skipping Go-Busters?

You know that everybody loves Go-Busters. It's not worth skipping it (unless if they're in a hurry). Does Saban watch Super Sentai series?

  33. Anonymous Says:

no dairanger suits + no past sentai + no go busters = You will lose your fan's saban.

  34. Anonymous Says:

Yo guys. If you do your research, they are not skipping Go-Busters. This is a hybrid off of both Go-Busters and Kyoryuger since their contract ends in 2016.

  35. Anonymous Says:

Fingers crossed the characters won't be as flat as the Megarangers are. It seems to me that Power Rangers are more focused on flashy action scenes then serious character development. And the episode better not be flat out translations of Kyoryuger, cause it seems they haven't learned that lesson in Super Mega (Most generic name they ever came up with).

  36. Anonymous Says:

If their contract ends in 2016, they should have a new contract to keep the Power Rangers series on the air until 2017 or 2018 or 2019 or 2020. I mean, they need to make more Power Rangers series based on Go-Busters and Toqger.
