WTF no Bleach!? Geez japan give Bleach a chance its still a pretty good manga!
Well Doraemon existed in '69 onwards so it would stick on the people's minds more...
and while maybe Ichigo and Nigo were more a boy's demographic, Doraemon was more catered to everybody (cuteness for the girls, adventures for the boys, etc.)
And I don't live in Japan so they may not have the same interests as I do...
Godzilla is pretty low on that list.
