On April 23rd, SCANDAL will be releasing their new single, "Departure." They had also revealed a studio live footage of "Departure" on March 3rd for a day only. The fans had hoped that the song would be re-uploaded or be released in physical form, so the release of the song has been decided.

It was MAMI (G, Vo) who wrote and composed the song, and Kameda Seiji was the one who arranged and produced it. As the single be released, the coupling song "rainy" would be used as song for the Japanese dubbeb version of the movie "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones."

The single will be released in 3 types: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. Limited Editions A and B will come with a DVD including footage from their Christmas live held in December.
