The first teaser for the upcoming Lupin the III film, "Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone" has begun streaming on Friday and alongside with it is a new key visual. In fact, the teaser trailer, the new key visual and the film's official website carry the same tagline, "So long, Jigen."
Lupin: Can you make it?
Jigen: Who are you talking to? Do you think that I will be beaten? In the end, you're a business partner, not a friend.
Lupin: Oh, yeah? Suit yourself.

The film revolves around Lupin and Jigen infiltrating East Doroa in order to get the secret treasure Little Comet. A singer fromt East Doroa by the name of Queen Malta has just been assassinated in the neighboring West Doroa causing tension at the border. Successfully, the duo was able to steal the Little Comet, but then a sniper almost got Jigen while get away from the scene. With that, Jigen faced a powerful nemy by the name of Okuzaki Yael known to be an assassin who prepares graves for his targets before killing them. There is also a rumor that no one has survived after he makes a grave for whoever his target is.
Film producer Kiyozono Yu (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine) stated, "I want to continue to create even more spinoffs with a new, cool Lupin III." In line with that, film director Isshi Katsuhiko (Redline) lends his strength as the film's creative adviser while Takahashi Yuuya (Tiger & Bunny) is in-charge of writing the screenplay, and Shimoji James (Redline) takes his role for the music.
Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone will last for 51 minutes and will have a limited special screening at Tokyo's Shinjuku Wald 9 theater from June 21-27.
