AKB48 member Anna Iriyama will be making her acting debut in the film adaptation of Ao Oni, an online horror game.
Iriyama said that she was surprised that she will be making her debut as an actress and as the main character of the film. She also said that even though she is happy, she also fells confusion and pressure and told reporters that although she is an idol, she wants to be viewed as cute.
Ao Oni is a puzzle solving horror game that pits players to solve various puzzles and riddles in order to escape a demon in a locked or enclosed space. The is available in both Japanese and English and a novel inspired by the game was released in japan last year.
The film opens in Japanese theaters on July 5.
