Added to that, it is said that this upcoming new series have this so-called "new-world" feeling with the current technology. They also emphasized that this new anime is not a remake of the classic 90's anime but the adaptation of the original manga according to producer Umezawa Atsutoshi (Precure franchise). The manga has lots of differences from the 90's anime indeed.

The character designs were under the control of Sako Yukie (Majestic Prince, Nyan Koi!) as Takanashi Ysauhara (Fairy Tail, Precure franchise) lends his strength with its composition. Kurahashi Takashi (Mononoke, Gatchaman Crowds) and Hosaka Yumi (Mononoke, Gatchaman Crowds) are the series' art directors, while King Records produces the soundtrack.

To direct the series is Sakai Munehisa (One Piece, Suite Precure) with Kabayashi Yuji (Saint Seiya Omega, Smile Precure!) as he was in-charge of the scripts.

Sailor Moon Crystal premieres this July 5 and will run on the first and third Saturdays every month at 7:00 pm.

Well, at least Kotono-san is the only one who is allowed to reprise her role. Not sure about the other cast members. But the designs look amazing.

    No, the designs are terrible.

As for the show, it was bad, really bad. Lazy writing, almost zero character from the cast.

Just a lazy cheaply made cash-in sponging of bias and nostalgia.

    Good riddance to it.
