That was early. Usually the next Rider series is confirmed in June. Oh well, let's see how this goes, but Gaim will be sorely missed and I'm sure others will agree. Well, hopefully this becomes as good as Gaim. Fingers crossed! D:

Woah! I like this name!! It has potential!

I mean, it will be very hard to surpass Gaim over even equals it, special if they don't have Urobuchi writing or someone as good as him, someone used to writing good anime's scripts... But I hope Urobuchi showed a new path for Rider series!

This makes this new series probably related to car, bikes and vehicles, right? I like it! We never had a rider series based on it before and the designs can get really cool, like it did with Accel (specially with his Trial form).

But another possibility is this Drive being related to computer stuff, cybernetics, technology, machines etc. I mean, like in OverDRIVE, right?

Things like that can really set a good background and motif for a good show with good chars and AWESOME ARMORS! *_*

...BUT, let's not forget that Gaim at first, with dance and fruits motif, didn't made a good impressio, but it proved to be fantastic, so I really hope we don't get the opposite now...

A vehicle themed Rider Series perhaps?

Would be kinda interesting.....

My theories/speculative guesses:

The power items/toy collectibles are gears, keys or shift levers

The main Rider's motif is motorcycles like Accel and the secondary is themed after cars or jets.


The villains are one of the following:
1. Mechanical, possibly a return to the cyborgs of the Showa Era or Robots like in Black RX.
2. Pollution based like the Gaiark from Go-Onger
3. Mystical, bringing a Technology vs. Supernatural dynamic like in Power Rangers Zeo


Until we see the first official image, as always, we do not get too attached to ideas and names, as it could be a way to throw us off.

We went through this when we thought we were getting a ninja rider last year, but that turned out to be fake.

There is a possibility that the henshin device will be called DRIVE DRIVER. So the hero, while passing other drivers on the road, can use his Drive Driver while driving his bike to be Kamen Rider Drive.

Or... he might have a car since the name DRIVE.

Fuck I'm not ready to hear this. Gaim is the best rider show since W. I will miss it terribly. Fuck Dude!!! At least get Gen-San to write it again and make it a direct sequel to GAIM. Yes I know it's going to be it's own thing but in retrospect. TOEI has been pretty loose with it's leap seasons. EX: Kiva-OK, Decade-Annoying,W-Awesome, OOO's-O.K, Fourze-HAHA lol, Wizard-Boring, GAIM- Off the meat rack. Time will tell I guess. I'm just not ready for this.

I feel so sorry for Kamen Rider Drive. He has to somehow match the epic action drama that is Gaim. Major hate if it reverts back to the filler MOTW episodes/arcs like before. Unpleasable fanbase, go easy on him.

So will this be a vehicular equivalent to a vehicular sentai like Turboranger. Carranger, or Boukenger that'll be interesting if they pull something like that off

My first thoughts upon seeing that name were basically Kamen Rider CAAAAAAAARRRRRRANGER!. Which admittedly would be pretty awesome.

Big, giant, collosal shoes to fill, though. Hope he's up to the challenge.

Interesting, just 3-4 days ago I was thinking how awesome it would be to have a Boat/Plane/Helicopter motif for the show, if it would be a Boat theme, they could reintroduce Kamen Rider Aqua(i think, the Rider from the future?)

Wow already ! I never thought that I would be so attached to gaim. Im kinda sad its almost ending. It was a fantastic season. I`ll watch it again once its over.

but i`ll be open minded about this new rider. I just hope it doesnt get hate just because "it wasnt as good as gaim" or stuff like that. Drive sounds cool.

so the belt is going to be the Driver Driver? lol awesomely silly.

I kind of hope it goes into a semi Kabuto/Blade special ops riders so we can keep having more riders in the shows but perhaps give them some more things to do because the extra riders in Gaim are kind of wasted.

we have the 4 villain riders, well 3 villains and Takatora who is without power now. but the other mass production riders like Mr Dangerous and his boy toy have fallen to the way side.

it just sucks Gaim is getting cut short because I feel we are going to lose a lot more character development with the supporting cast. like what is up with the fruit bar's female waitress, she seems way too calm whenever a monster just busts in.

idk, im kinda looking in a different direction for his name, what if the Drive is a reference to PCs or something virtual instead of a car or something? yes vehicle based rider looks promising, but knowing how tokusatsu shows tend to go theres still a chance it may not be or even either of the 2 but something completely different and unexpected.

before gaim was first announced they were rumors about a racing themed kamen rider.if this is what its based on i wonder if its going to be car or motorcycle racing.either way i cant wait to see his debut.

If this is true I like the name. Drive will have a tough task following the amazing story of Gaim. I feel that this years Lock Seed will be "Something" Keys and that Drives forms will be referred to as either Shifts or Gears.

Accel maximum driv... Oh wait.

well it would have been better if they call the belt, gear.. like in faiz gear that's cool,and different

This could be anything! I'm ready, though.
I hated Wizard's story but the form changes and rings were pretty cool, if impractical for battle with the constant changes. If I were a rider I'd want a simpler belt and powers, like Meteor, only two of his own switches.

so the number 7 that has connection with the word Drive. Toei you're easy to guess sometimes. If this was the case then it break the genre of rider theme, science(W)->magic(OOO)->science(Fourze)->magic(Wizard)->science?(Gaim)->science maybe (Drive). Hopefully it will be good.

I'm guessing you're a Gaim-fanboy. Well it's your opinion so let's keep it that way.
