It has been announced that the first Doraemon 3D CG film, Stand By Me Doraemon will be opening in 21 different countries around the world after it opened in Japan on the 8th of this month.
The film would be shown both in Asia and Europe including South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Spain. It will also open in the following territories as the first Doraemon film: Brunei, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Italy, San Marino, Vatican City, Malta, Monaco, and Switzerland.
Stand By Me Doraemon opened reaching #1 at the Japanese box office on its first week and remained on the same place on its second as it sold 502,607 more tickets amounting 701,619,400 yen or about $6.8 million. 10 days after, it has reached a total of 2.44 million tickets sold for 3.27 billion yen.
