CW's Supergirl TV Series To End On Its 6th Season

It looks like Supergirl will finally take-off on her final flight as CW producers, Warner Brothers TV and Belanti Productions has announced that the series will finally end on its 6th season coming 2021.

It was reported that the final season for Supergirl will have 20 episodes. Series production that was scheduled for 2020-2021 was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the prodcuction team aiming for a later schedule to give way for the main star of the TV series, Melissa Benoist's pregnancy.

Our heroine has this to say:

"To say it has been an honor portraying this iconic character would be a massive understatement. Seeing the incredible impact the show has had on young girls around the world has always left me humbled and speechless," Benoist wrote. "She's had that impact on me, too. She's taught me strength I didn't know I had, to find hope in the darkest of places, and that we are stronger when we're united. What she stands for pushes all of us to be better. She has changed my life for the better, and I’m forever grateful."

It was also reported that the whole production team along with Melissa Benoist agreed to that it was a good idea to end the series with a longer final season.
