“Pacific Rim” Movie CES Trailer


Here is the latest trailer for 2013's Hollywood tokusatsu filmPACIFIC RIM” seen at the Computer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The film itself is a homage to the Japanese monsters, or kaiju films.


Director Guillermo Del Toro has said the film will be "a beautiful poem to giant monsters"! It is set in a world where soldiers piloting giant robots battle against giant monsters who have mysteriously risen from beneath the ocean.

Pacific Rim premieres July 12th, 2013.

  4. First off the first monster reminds me of Golza. Second they didn't create monsters, the created Mecha. I don't see them cloning Godzilla to be on their side. So to me this is giant monsters vs Mecha. Will I still see it? Probably when it comes out on DVD. Saw this trailor when I went to see the Hobbit.

  5. Anon9935 - they are probably foreshadowing. The robots will probably either turn against the humans or they will malfunction, much like in GXMG, then be fixed. Monster can also refer to the people themselves, the robotic beasts (monster in size), etc...
