Before the first Power Rangers series was known as “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”, Saban called it as “GALAXY RANGERS”. Check out the promo that was included as a bonus in the Power Rangers DVD Box Set.

The promo shows mostly Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger footage with new footage featuring this adaptation's characters. The characters are: Victor Lee (Red), Zack Taylor (Black), Kimberly Harte (Pink), Billy Cranston (Blue), and Trini Crystal (Yellow). And instead of having the word "ranger" along with their color representation, they used the word "Biorhythm".
The Easter egg footage ended with “GALAXY RANGERS, coming soon in the near future!” Oh well, we all know this didn't happen.

ReplyDeleteThe actors who can participate on these entire series obvilousy are similar of several Soap Opera actors,or maybe,the latin-american Telenovelas,with lacking style of acting
For good to us,Saban Entertainment changes the cast and inserted the actors who was knows for us years after,not counting of the pilot episode Yellow Ranger actress
Also on the promo,Zyuranger characters including Barza are easy seen
It's a damn promo they don't have to make it perfect. In the SPd promo you saw footage of the dekarangers out of suit and in megaforce you saw all the pre-Zyruranger teams that weren't adapted( even though that was still in the actual show)

ReplyDeleteIt looks like no matter how hard Saban tried, their zyuranger adaptation would suck.
ReplyDeleteNo offense to power ranger fans, but the first seasons of PR were pretty bad and don't age so well.(Not that Super Sentai can be and has been just as bad)
It sucks that they didn't try to just go with the "humans that evolved from dinosaurs" concept.
You have to wonder how well it would have done it it had gone ahead as it was
ReplyDeletei wouldn't think so considering they had the original Zyuranger actors footage in some of those clips but then again they did the same thing with the Masked Rider a few years later but only the really observant people (amoung those who hadn't jumped ship when they heard the bike and the car talk and Ferbus) really noticed due to the shot being from behind

ReplyDeleteUploader was a pussy and removed the video. Saban legally couldn't take it down anyway because it was a tv screen recording which is the legal DCMA loophole... Years of people hating on "off-screen" videos made people forget about this fact.
