ULTRAMAN GINGA Coming this July 10th

As the appearance of the new Ultraman hero, ULTRAMAN GINGA had been revealed in an event earlier, it has been announced that it will star on its own titular show! This is in celebration on TSuburaya's 50th year anniversary.

All of the Ultra Heroes (and Monsters) have been turned into "dolls" by a mysterious power. Some of the dolls are scattered across the universe. A boy gets the "Ginga Spark" which empowers him to return the toys to their rightful size. Ginga will also fight monsters (and aliens) working for the power responsible for doll transformations.

To protect the people, by using the Ginga "Spark," Hikaru will fight to save us!

Ultraman Ginga stars D2 member Takuya Negishi as Hikaru Reidō, the new Ultraman host who will fight to save his fellow Ultra Heroes! At 17 years of age, he will be the youngest Ultraman host.

Also included in the cast are Mio Miyatake as Misuzu Ishidō,

Mizuki Ōno as Kenta Watarai,

Kirara as Chigusa Kuno,

And Takuya Kusakawa as Tomoya Ichijōji, a mysterious transfer student that will become Hikaru's rival.

Ultraman Ginga will be a part of of the “New Ultraman Retsuden” programming block, on July 10th, Wednesday, on TV Tokyo 6, for 11 episodes and two specials. The first six episodes will run from July to August, and another five will run from November to December, while the remaining two will air during events this September and spring of 2014.

Directed by Yuuichi Abe, Tomoo Haraguchi, Kengo Kaji, and Yoshikazu Ishii, with scripts from Keiichi Hasegawa, Masanao Akahoshi, Kenichi Araki, and Akira Tanizaki, “Ultraman Ginga” premieres July 10th.

Thanks to Gouriki for the tip!

  5. Its a kinda of a bummer that this Ultra series only runs for 11 episodes and a few specials. I thought it was going to be a full 47-50 episode series like the other ones. But oh well. Interesting plot though. You can already tell the new characters will interact with all the legends from the past just like Gokaiger and Decade. It is the anniversary series after all, I can't wait!!! This new Ultraman is awesome.

  10. Which Yoshikazu Ishii is involved with this? The one from Godzilla 2000 or the one from Line the Barbarian?

  11. I was hoping Ultraman Ginga would be like Ultraman Mebius and would have a full series, but oh well. I like Ginga's design, at least. The show sounds pretty interesting.
