Tori Matsuzaka Wins Best Actor Award


Tori Matsuzaka (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger) had won the "Best Starring Actor Award" in the recently concluded "22nd Annual Japan Film Critics Circle Awards Ceremony", for his first starring film, “Tsunagu” an adaptation of Mizuki Tsujimura’s best-selling novel.

In the film, Matsuzaka plays Ayumi, a high school student who’s working as an apprentice medium under his own grandmother. The film itself is a mixture of fantasy and human drama.

  7. It's not a girl's name in Japanese. It can be both, depending on the kanji. Tori is actually Toori.
