Actress Reiko Chiba teases via a Twitter post that the five members of Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger will be making an important announcement soon. Chiba previously played the role of Mei/Ptera Ranger in the 1992 Super Sentai series.
Here's the tweet (translation via Rising Sun Tokusatsu):
“To all of the fans of Toei’s tokusatsu and Sentai productions, the five of us who starred in Zyuranger will be able to announce something interesting very soon.”Do you have any wild guesses?
Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger follows the story of five young warriors from an ancient civilization of Dinosaur-evolved Humans who are awakened during the present day, after 170 million years of suspended animation when their sworn enemy, Bandora the Witch, is inadvertently released from her magical container on Planet Nemesis by two astronauts.
A few others along with myself have been doing wild guessing on something about this.

ReplyDeleteMy guess: having grown sick and tired of being overshadowed by the sixth ranger in popular memory, the core five Zyurangers are forming the "Burai Sucks and Green is Ugly Club".
ReplyDeleteI think their making an appearance in the 37th Super Sentai Series, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. So far I'm loving Kyoryuger, my favorite super sentai series ever.

Okay, if they are doing a crossover with Kyoryuger, I'd literally jump out from my seat... if they add Abaranger as well, I'll totally pass out. The challenge with that though, is getting some actors from retirement (Tyranno Ranger, Abare Yellow and other). A bit wishful thinking perhaps, but I can totally see the 3 series connected with each other. Dino-Earth, The Dino Tribes and Zyudenryu... It's hard to put them into one continuity ;)
ReplyDeleteI think it could be anything from a Zyuranger reunion movie like the Hurricanger one, or a Zyuranger appearance on Kyoryuger or a team up movie, to even an announcement that Zyuranger is being remastered and released on Blu-Ray.

ReplyDeleteThe actress who played Bandora passed away so rather than replace her what if the space dumpster (or whatever they called it in the Japanese version) came back to earth and the child of Cami and Griffizor that we saw at the end. Of the show was all grown up and tried to get revenge on the Zyurangers!? That would be awesome!
well honestly i that if they do cross over it will probably end with the koryugers useing the zyuranger zyudenchi in koryzyn as a finisher. oh and for the people who think there coming to the U.S to do super megaforce, NO! not that im ahater against PR(honestly i watch both franchises) but they would have to teach the actors english as well as pay for hotels and everything else. plus wouldn't it make sense to use the diarangers acotrs for the suits they once wore?any way can't wait. all i need now to be happy is a new Go-onger movie!

I can't even guess, but I can't wait to hear this announcement. A Zyuranger returns or team-up with Kyoryuger would rock (adding Abaranger would rock too but I can appreciate how hard it would've been to get just one old team). We're anxiously waiting, Reika-chan :)
