A new rumor for the 2014 Super Sentai series started circulating online. Apparently, the new team will be called Senkan Sentai Gounova or Battleship Taskforce Gounova. And along with the name comes with the rumored cast list.
As always please take these rumors with a grain of salt!
According to Toku-Insider, the new team is said to consists of Ryo Sakaguchi as Red, Mayu Tomita as Pink, Taito Hashimoto (Kamen Rider OOO's Kazari) as Black, Tomoyuki Ishida as Blue, and Sano Kazuma as Green.
As always, most, if not all, of these will turn out just another rumor that will just fly by. So if ever, what do you think about the rumored casting?

ReplyDeleteCertainly hoping this is fake. Another team without a yellow, with the same basic construct (not even a white or other colored in there) as the previous team. Which is already upsetting, they have a gray AND a silver, but they can't get a yellow.

ReplyDeleteReal cast or not, I hope there's more than just one female next season. I like when there's multiple girls to play a relationship off of each other.

I thought there was gonna be a yellow ranger for the 2014 sentai??? A battleship sentai sounds cool, I always wished they could an aquatic or ocean based sentai. All vehicle mecha is always welcome in my opinion. But I doubt this rumor is true. Any rumor that lists the cast members is gonna be false.

ReplyDeleteI just want the show to return to 2 girls format... and Kyoryuger has been more successful (rather than, say, Gobusters) in trying out different kind of new stuffs while at the same time still going old school with the sentai vibe, I think it's gonna be difficult to top this year's sentai.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be hard to get into anything after Kyoryuger. This series has been the best I've ever seen and I seen them all. The cast look attractive. The name sounds cool. I'm more interested in the production side of things. I'm going to give a little credence to these rumors being that the KR Gaim rumors turned out to be true this year.
ReplyDeleteActually I hear Kyoryuger is doing so much better than Go-Busters in terms of ratings either. Not bashing neither Go-Busters or Kyoryuger, it's just getting so anime with sentai as of late, I mean Go-Busters would fit along something as the Macross/Gundam of the hesei sentai continuity.

Yes! Please! A Sentai without -ger suffix! I do want 2 girl Sentai as well though, not personally bothered about no yellow, though maybe an original/new coloured ranger (orange, beige, olive, or even neon colours, cyan doesn't count! And grey and silver in the same series I agree, dumb)

ReplyDeleteWo wo wo hold up it feels like there were kyoryuger rumors going on yesterday time does fly when your watching a show in Japanese thay only airs once a week and sometime they skipped a week because of some thing else so in reality I didn't even watch that much kyoryuger in a small amount of time. (Ramble from watching to time)

ReplyDelete1. We already have all of those, minus the pink alicorn. Well, almost all, there's a yellow owl ranger but no proper owl mecha for it.
2. I doubt they'll make an alicorn mecha. Not just the term is still confusing (as pegacorn is the more correct term), but also, it would be weird as all the others you mentioned are normal animals, not mythical ones.
