Sailor Moon Crystal Anime To Have A Total of 26 Episodes


A trade show flyer has sprung online for the upcoming Sailor Moon Crystal series revealing the total number of episodes the show will take.

It has been revealed that the series comprises 26 epsiodes in total which is later confirmed by both Toei Animation thru Anime News Network. The new anime is not a remake of the classic 90's anime but the adaptation of the original manga from the very beginning.

To direct the series is Sakai Munehisa (One Piece, Suite Precure) with Kabayashi Yuji (Saint Seiya Omega, Smile Precure!) as he was in-charge of the scripts.

Sailor Moon Crystal premieres this July 5 and will run on the first and third Saturdays every month at 7:00 pm.

    That is interesting since I don't know how they will cramp everything in 26 episodes since I have read it and it feels more than that.

    I read somewhere that this will only cover the first big arc (Queen Berryl and Metalia) only, and frankly that's a bit disappointing considering it's the last arc (the Sailor Cosmos) one that was totally different from the manga :(

    Already a sign that this was going to be terrible.
    Rushed plot, that copies all the bad points of the already rushed Manga.
