And Saban has set their sights on another venture in children's show as Saban Brands listed a show depicting the magical girl anime, Smile Precure which will be titled as Glitter Force.
The Television New Source World has listed the title as a "Girls Action" series with this description:
"Follow five preteen girls who form the legendary superhero squad the Glitter Force, and must defend Earth from evil fairy tale villains."
The said series will have 40 episodes at 22 minutes each. The original Smile Precure had 48 episodes. Saban brands filed the "Glitter Force" license back in 2013.
No other information has been released by Saban Brands so let's stay tuned for some updates.

Glitter force? ..... Oh dear.... I have a bad feeling about this one...
ReplyDeleteGag me with a spoon, this is not going to end well.
ReplyDeleteSaban Brands licensed Power Rangers and Digimon. Maybe they will team up with SEGA to make a new Sonic anime with Sonic Colors and Sonic Boom voice actors.
DeleteThis is going to go SO well (Eagle Riders anyone?)

ReplyDeleteI'm kind of afraid, but nothing is seiyaing it will be horribile.
ReplyDeleteAfter what that it will a pretty cure success.
The only I contest is the new name, was wrong with Pretty Cure?
Smh at all the people complaining about "Glitter Force" while not realizing "Smile Precure" doesn't translate into other cultures. "Precure" isn't even an English word!
ReplyDeleteMost likely, this is just for a pilot episode and the series will get a newer name if it's picked up by a network.
Pretty Cure
DeletePretty Cure
DeleteYou do realize they could have just done what they did with the original Precure, and just named it Pretty Cure? Sure it'll probably be named Pretty Cure Glitter Force, but if it's just named Glitter Force then what's the point?
DeleteIt's been a long time since they decided to integrate a cartoon ment for girls. This new turn could increase some overall ratings...
ReplyDeleteNot even other properties are safe from the "____ Force" titles.
ReplyDeleteYou do realize that Saban has only used Force in the title of shows like twice?
DeleteStop it Saban.... don't do this.I don't see it coming out well.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen any of the Pretty Cure series, and it's probably only the filler episodes they'll take out. I hate episode reduction, but if it's cool, I'll take a liking to it. After all, I dealt with LBX dub from 44 eps to 26 episodes and I liked it enough to be apart of the franchise.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: Pretty Cure is a english word, precure is just the contraction of this two word.
ReplyDeleteWith influx of so many Western magical girl shows on the air (Steven Universe, Star vs. Forces of Evil, etc.) Saban could not have picked a better time to bring over Pretty Cure.
ReplyDelete"You do realize they could have just done what they did with the original Precure, and just named it Pretty Cure?"
ReplyDelete"They" who? Saban? Saban never brought any "Pretty Cure" to any North American territory. "Pretty Cure" would not translate in countries where English is a first language; especially the U.S. where Saban has the most influence. Remember, they make these shows for KIDS first and foremost and not us older viewers. Stuff has to be easier for kids to digest into their brains. They're not gonna go online and sit on forums all day just to get hip to the Japanese culture.
Anonymous: and what your point ? Since Pretty Cure is a english term, the change is dumb.
