"Honno Kakusei! Zyuoh Whale!"
Welp, here we go guys! Seems like everyone will be proved wrong again that this series will flop. Feast your eyes on the newest Zyuohger Toy Catalog courtesy of Bandai!
In this very catalog, we can finally take a clear glimpse on Cube Rhino, it's mecha form with Cube Crocodile and Cube Wolf, and finally combining with Zyuoh King, Zyuoh Wild and the 4 other auxiliary Cubes, comes the MASSIVE Wild Tousai King! Also included are Cube Condor (most likely a movie exclusive mecha) and another auxiliary mecha, Cube Komori.
We also found out through this catalog, Yamato Kazakiri's latest transformation through Zyuman power, Zyuoh Whale! Probably the first time a Red hero has been placed with the power of a whale! Transformation will occur through Yamato's usage of the Whale Change Gun, enabling him to harness the power of the mighty whale! And yes, if you're gonna ask us if there will be a Cube Whale mecha soon, no doubt there would be!
Last but not the least, here is a clear pic of the DX Zyuland Base! Contradictory to one of our earlier posts, Zyuland Base wouldn't be a play mat as expected. Rather, it would be another mini-base toy to compliment the DX Zyuoh mechas. However, as seen in the first pic of this post, it seems like Bandai would be releasing a game mat via lottery. We'll just need to wait for further announcements regarding this!

I love this show and I love all the characters, but I can't believe Yamato is getting a second form change. I just hope that the other four can use it and he'll just be the first to debut it, like Super Shinkenger( but I doubt it)

ReplyDeletelove the characters, the villians, and the story can live with the suits and the weapons , but the only thing i cant stand are the mechs and the mech fights, it will be interesting to see where things go, and i dont think that red will be the only one with a form change most of the helmets seem to change so i think all will eventually get other forms but we shall see

ReplyDeleteTo all the people complaining about the red exclusive power ups, think for a second. What is zyuman power? Right the zyuman' s lives. So it stands to reason that the other four wouldn't want to take the lives of their fellow Zyuman. What is wrong with a red exclusive power up? People eat it up in power rangers and suddenly in Sentai it is bad? I mean if you have a brave leader doesn't it make sense for him to have multiple powers so he can strategize and plan accordingly? What ever all that matters is.......... WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALE!
ReplyDeleteI think I like Zyuoh Whale's design more than Zyuoh Gorilla. I was hoping for alternate Zyuoh Cubes for the other 4 Zyuohgers, but it seems it's not happening. It also seems Cube Rhinos doesn't have a cube form. I guess it's not too bad, overall. Actually, quite a lot was revealed this time around.

DeleteWait... How are the Zyuohgers going to summon Cube Condor? There's no 0 button on the Zyuoh Changer. Hell, 7, 8, and 9 don't even truly work.
ReplyDelete1. 789 aren't there's, the worlds changer should be able to summon them. 2. Condor will probably be a movie exclusive that just appears. 3. You don't need the changer to summon them just hold them up in its small form and it grows

The 10:13 AM, 10:32 AM, and 12:28 PM anonymous commenters hit the nail on the head. I was hoping that the other Zyuohgers would get the Zyuoh Gorilla treatment and receive additional animal powers. Zyuoh Whale for example should go to Sela. Don't tell me the producers couldn't use any of the unused Gaoranger concepts, or for that matter two of Zyuoh The World's animals since he has three, for that purpose. Granted, the red team member is the face of the franchise, but it gets irritating when executive privilege means he's the only one given any sort of enhanced abilities because reasons.

Also, agree with the others. Quite disappointed that Zyuoh Whale is another red power up, especially because the aquatic creature could very well be Sela's. But I do like the suit design, it resembles Shinken Red's power up for some reason.
I never saw this series as a failure. I would not mind if some of these mecha are in a movie but I'm hoping they will all be in the series. More mecha power ups are coming for the Zyuohgers and I'm excited about it along with a third power-up for Zyuohger Red. I still believe there is a chance that all the other Zyuohgers will get at least one power up. Just be patience, look how long it took for Zyuohger Red's 3rd power-up suit to be revealed. If the other Zyuohgers don't get another power-up suit it will be a shame but I think this could still happen.

I think it's like how there were the Kabuto, Kajiki, Tora, Ika, Ebi, Kyoryu, and Ushi Origami from Shinkenger, even though only the main 5 folded into an emblem form. I remember being disappointed by that. It was a really cool gimmick.

Sure, red exclusive power ups are a common trend in power rangers and to a lesser extent sentai. But the issue that arises is that sometimes once red gets an exclusive power up, the show may end up pushing its other characters to the side while red does all the cool shit.

Red may be the brave leader, but he's not a one man show. A sentai is supposed to be a team with each member contributing their own assets. Besides, giving everyone a power up or at least letting them take turns is a sign that they are equals.

I also wanted the other Zyuohgers to have a visor up. But i think that their visor up should be based on the armament Zyuoh Cube.

Kind of a pattern now - first gobusters, then toqger, and now - ugly cubes that can not/will not ever be called mecha, wielding sentai!
Probably not there is still potential even if the toys are blocky. Go-busters was skipped because of poor sales in Japan, while ToQger are skipped because of the possibility of not getteing the interest of american kids

ReplyDeleteAbout red ups, doesnt matter for me. But, i also want to see the other's ups. I love how toei made ups at dekaranger. Cool armor for 5 members and plus extra that dog armor for red (forgot the name of the dog)
