Another bunch of on-the-set photos from the 2017 Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie has surfaced featuring a look at Rita Repulsa's alternate costume.
Could this costume be her "fresh from the dumpster" get-up before suiting-up into that green armor looking one? And still no pics of the Ranger suits! Nab this waiting game is killing me!
Looks like the guy who said the green armor was her battle armor was right.

ReplyDeleteit was never suppose to be a remake of the orginal suit. its a new telling of the same story for a new generation.
Rita from the original TV show *should* have been a more combative female figure like Lord Zed was. We got them after Rita, but never Rita herself. The way the movie is shaping up to be, this is going to be the story before Rita was put into the "dumpster"; rectifying the missing aspect of Rita Repulsas true power. There was a REASON she was so feared, but the TV shows never really showed it. The dumpster is actually something that drained her combat powers!
ReplyDeleteI liked MMPR and all, but the people acting like the show didn't have it's fault and must any other MMPR movie has to retain *all* of the elements are out of their minds. Unscrew the nostalgia goggles from your faces! Green armor Rita looks awesome and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I don't need to fit into *any* crowd!
That first series of images is frightening. Did Rita find her first victim?

Sorry man, even I like this kind of new version of Rita Repulsa, I can say this would never surpassed the original Rita Repulsa played by our beloved late Machiko Soga. Have a respect for her, since she was long gone for 10 years ago.

ReplyDeleteIt's a fresh looking costumes, and yet somehow (especially the curvy and sexy green suit) is tryin to take off the repulsive kind of vibe from the original Rita character. Not really sure how to feel about this though.
