The official website of the unofficial Super Sentai series, Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger, finally announces the airdate of the scheduled second season! The show will premiere this April 6th at BS Asahi.
Additionally, on April 8th, it will also air at TOKYO MX, and on Kansai's Sun TV. Cast and theme-song related information are said to be revealed on a later date.
Additional staff are as follows:
- Supervisor: Ryuta Tasaki and Nobuhiro Suzumura
- Molding: Rainbow Formations
- Visual Cooperation: Bells and Whistles
- CG and the special vision effect: Toucan research institute
Relieve the adventures of Nobuo Akagi, Mitsuki Aoyagi, and Moegi Yumeria as they enter the GRAND DELUSION, and work their way up to become an OFFICIAL team. Watch all the episodes here!

Thank goodness the REAL 37TH super sentai team is back. Please show what true heroes are like Akibarangers.
Eventhough I'm excited about this news... I don't think it's necessary to suddenly compare it with Kyoryuger out of the blue just like that. That's totally silly. The 37th Sentai had just aired its 1st episode, how can we compare it just by one episode? Doh! At least wait until you watch 2-5 episodes before anyone speak anything... more than that, just enjoy both of the shows will'ya...

Yeah, quit comparing akibaranger to the official super sentai series.
I think we can all agree, the two are not the same thing since akibaranger caters to older fans of super sentai by satiring the series while Super sentai is just a super hero series that tries to keep kids and families entertained through a specific formula.
Any way, I can't wait until the second season. Hopefully the series stays long enough to have a crossover with the official series.
