WOWOW Prime started streaming the first 5-minutes footage from the first episode of the live action adaptation of CLAMP's supernatural manga “xxxHolic”, that will start airing on February 24th.
Scheduled for eight 50-minute episodes, “xxxHolic” is led by model and actress Anne (Taira no Kiyomori, Yokai Ningen Bem) as the the witch Yuuko Ichihara, and Shota Sometani (Tsumi to Batsu: A Falsified Romance, Koishite Akuma) as the disturbed high-school student Kimihiro Watanuki.
Watanuki requests to have his ability to see spirits removed and, as payment, Yuuko hires him to work in the shop, resulting in various supernatural encounters. xxxHolic (read as "holic") links with the other manga CLAMP made, especially Tsubasa Chronicles.
Keisuke Toyoshima is directing off scripts by Jun Tsugita, and singer/songwriter Shikao Suga is performing the theme song after have done so for the earlier xxxHOLiC anime projects.

Hmmm... Watanuki looks definitely like him now, though Yuuko still felt off for me. His spiritual sightings were totally much much creepier than the comic/manga though, even Maru and Moro looks like little demons. Definitely going to check this show
