Just because Ken Watanabe is the token japanese character in the movie doesnt mean I want to still see it.

Normally I will be outraged at the lack of Japansese or even Asian actors in the cast. This movie really isn't about the humans it's about Godzilla. I remember the rumors swirling about a new Godzilla movie since 2009 with an imax release. But now it's been delayed for years which can only mean two things. 1. The crew is really taking their time and working hard to make a fantastic American Godzilla movie to rebound back from that disaster from 1998. or 2. They all ready fk'ed up and are dragging this out of lazyness and not giving a shet.

Well, even if it turns out bad, I mean how much worse can it be compared to America's version of Dragon Ball Z? Which should've only been done by Japan. However, I hope this Godzilla film will kick start the franchise again. Although, I am a bit disappointed that its not Japan that's making this movie. I mean I've seen other Godzilla movies made by Japan and despite the strange things that happen in them, they were all still great. I liked the American version in 1998. It wasnt that bad, but the way they depicted Godzilla was waaaaay too different compared to the one the franchise depicts. On a side note, the American version got it's @$$ owned in Godzilla - Final Wars. Fight didnt even last a minute, which was funny. But yea. Lets just wait and see how the movie goes when it actually comes out instead of just speculating on how bad it will be. I mean, hey, it could be a great movie.

I have faith in this movie and in Mr. Edwards. He's a fan, but above that, he's got a vision. This isn't just a scifi action film, but a look into a force of nature, and a film icon - Godzilla. 1998's film was trying to be something new and different, but it obviously failed. If it hadn't been called "Godzilla", it'd be kinda where "Cloverfield" is now-one of those alright Saturday night popcorn movies. Final Wars Zilla was exactly what the Japanese saw him as - a CG joke. Hell, the movie itself is a joke, ironic, since they began to use CG afterward on Godzilla, even having a CG render for the movie "Always 2". With Pacific Rim out this year, Godzilla has to push the bar even higher if it wants the spotlight it deserves. Btw, TOHO legally put Godzilla on ice til 2015. This is just a jumpstart.
