Japanese girl band SCANDAL announces that “Awanai Tsumori no, Genki de ne” (I don't plan on seeing you; take care, okay) will be the band's 15th single. It will be used as a theme song for “Ore wa Mada Honki Dashitenai Dake” film starring Shinichi Tsutsumi.

The song is said to be a straight rock number, and it’s a love song which everyone can relate to.

Director Yuichi Fukuda states that he chose SCANDAL to purify his "silly" film, with cheerful female voices during the ending. Meanwhile, band vocalist HARUNA stated that even though the song is not of the same theme as the film, “the new song became such a 'serious' song that shows our spirits.”


The film, who is a live action adaptation of the manga with the same name, follows that daily life of named Shizuo Oguro, a failed father, and his family. Shizuo suddenly quits his job at age 41, to find his true self, but he spends all his time playing soccer games. One day, he randomly decides to become a manga artist.
