Akibarangers Bow Down to Red Hawk

Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger S2 will start airing this Saturday, and the official website of the unofficial Super Sentai series had been updated with scenes from the show's first episode.

The first episode of Akibaranger S2 will show a review of the past season, retelling the events 9 months before the start of the second season. As seen in the preview image above, Red Hawk will make his appearance, so as DeluKnight! The past's AkibaBlue, Mitsuki Aoyagi (Kyoko Hinami) will be making her cameo before she pass the torch to Luna Iwashimizu (Shione Sawada).

Taking place 9 months after the Akibaranger defeated the Evil Group Stema Otsu Corporation, in a "parallel world", merchandise related to Akibaranger were being sold: the DX AkibaLaser, and the DX MeteorCannon. Did the UNOFFICIAL Sentai Akibaranger became official heroes without knowing it themselves? What could this possibly mean? Could something have happened to the real official heroes!?

Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger S2 will premiere this April 6th at BS Asahi.

  1. Shad Says:

My WMG Senses are telling me that when the new girl becomes AkibaBlue, somebody forgot to tell Mitsuki Aoyagi (the reason for her shocked look in the preview), which causes her to go evil for a bit, turning her into that pink-eyed Delu-Knight person that's in the picture next to hers.

The first season didn't use the "Ranger turns evil for a little bit" trope (which seems to happen more often in the team-up movies), I don't think, so maybe it's time for that one.

  2. Anyone notice that the pic of them bowing to Red Hawk uses the girls' old helmets. Probably a flashback, considering the different ending to season 1 for this season.
