It has been announced that Eiichiro Oda's pirate anime One Piece will be having its long awaited new opening to reflect its current story arc, the Punk Hazard Arc. The anime had been using Hiroshi Kiritadani's “We Go!” as an opening theme since October 2011.
The new opening will be entitled “Hands Up” by Kota Shinzato. It will be first heard on One Piece Episode 591, airing on April 14th, a week after the series' crossover with Toriko and Dragon Ball Z.
Shinzato previously sang a cover of Hiroshi Kiritadani's “We Are”, One Piece anime's first opening theme, for the anime's Episode of Luffy special.
