Sunrise announced that the second Tiger & Bunny anime film, “Tiger & Bunny THE MOVIE -The Rising-” will be moved to February 8th, 2014 premiere instead of this fall.

According to them, the reason for the delay is the need to raise the quality of the work. In addition, the returning cast and staff are a follows:

Meanwhile, here are the character design for the film's Kotetsu Kaburagi. The first illustration is the original character design by Masakazu Katsura, and the second one is the finalized character design for animation.

The Heroes of Sternbuild City faces a new threat that wants to destroy the city. Will the Wild Tiger and Barnaby Brooks, Jr. combo put up a good fight to save the place? The promo also hints that "the end is near, when all returns to nothingness".


Tiger & Bunny THE MOVIE -The Rising- will be directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani (GaoGaiGar: King of Braves), with screenplay from Masafumi Nishida. It will feature a whole new story that will act as a sequel to the anime series. The film premieres this February 8th, 2014.
