Interesting. I didn't think Haruto would be one. At least we'll finally know his past.

  2. Anonymous Says:

Um, wizard. I don't care what haruto did before the eclipse. He was probably a normal kid. How about you get those other plots done before you do something that just sounds like filler.

  3. Anonymous Says:

If Haruto was a professional soccer player in the past then why didn't people recognize him since the very first episode? Also it's possible that Mayu is becoming a Kamen Rider or just a maskless magician because it was stated that she will learn magic and June's scan for KR Wizard should be available in the near future

  4. Anonymous Says:

FINALLY! We finally see who Haruto was before the Sabbath!

  5. Anonymous Says:

Soccer Player? You know, I think someone at Toei likes pairing Soccer Players with Dragons.

Mayu returns? So Kamen Rider Witch?

  6. Anonymous Says:

I'm hoping "I want to ride a bike" is Kosuke getting a bike, even if it's a one episode gag it's still a bike

  7. Anonymous Says:

    speaking of fillers
"I want to ride a bike" sounds like they'll explain why Beast is a motor cycle-less rider

  8. Anonymous Says:

wow, that is surprising. this is our first rider who is an athlete i believe in the history of this franchise.

  9. Veritas Says:

Haha. Poor Takumi. He couldn't even play tennis against Masato in 555.

  10. Anonymous Says:

Haruto as a soccer player makes sense because it now explains HOW he is able to do kick-like flips and acrobatic moves easily.

  11. Anonymous Says:

Oh right the guy that lost both his parents in a car crash as a kid and then grew up to be the only Survivor of the Sabbath was just a normal kid.

  12. Anonymous Says:

A soccer player, really? If I recall MagiRed was a soccer player. I feel at this point, Toei is running out of ideas and start throwing recycle elements. Seriously there was no indicating or build up to this. At least, have this be introduce earlier like say around the time he got Infinity.

  13. Anonymous Says:

Well, who made you an expert?

  14. Kai Ozu vs Haruto Souma, in battles of fighting, wizardry, and...soccer?!

Seriously, if that happens one day, that'd be epic!

  15. Anonymous Says:

Really exciting to know what will happen on Mayu. If she does henshin into a rider, I think she'll just get Shiroi Mahoutsukai's driver. With toy releases being confirmed for White Wizard, its possible that she'll show up as white wizard and the original white wizard's identity still hidden.

  16. Anonymous Says:

He's far from the first athlete. Remember, Kamen Rider Stronger was football player.

  17. Anonymous Says:

Remember, we're talking about Japan, soccer is huge there. So, it does make sense after all...

  18. Anonymous Says:

Hongo is not really athlete but also good in sport.

  19. Anonymous Says:

Kai Ozu and Haruto Souma have some similarities. Two examples are they both play soccer and they both use fire magic (though Haruto uses more than one element).

It would be pretty funny if Haruto actually kicked the soccerball passed a goalie as a prelude to his kickstrike.

  21. Anonymous Says:

Ok i think the episode would be like this.

Episode 38: thestolen hope - The gate this time is the manager of haruto's soccer team. The team lost many match until Haruto join the team.He was great in the field and the team called him "hope"

Episode 39:The Forgotten Field - Haruto return to the soccer field and promise to help his manager to win the match

No offense to anyone but I don't need to know about his past now that this blog said he was a professional soccer player. It just doesn't seem like it will really matter since Haruto's main background is that he lost his parents, I could care less about anything else. Kinda like when people expected Eiji from OOO's to have this amazing backstory when in reality he was a rich kid that liked to travel. Not saying that its bad but it just seems saying Haruto was a soccer player is kinda useless to the plot.

    Episode 39: The Forgotten Field - 06/09
A mysterious man appears and asks Wajima to create a ring for him again. Wajima refuses, saying that the man has put too many people at risk.

Could it be finally the White Wizard in human form?!
For me that's make sense, Wajima must have secrets... maybe his son looool, imagine White Wizard is Wajima's son!!

I think Wiseman and White Wizard wants to sacrifice people who contain their phantom to make, give power to the philosopher stone, I hope Koyomi is not the Philosopher Stone!!
I also think that maybe Koyomi is dead but somehow White Wizard restore his body but not his mind, his goal is maybe to have philosopher stone to restore Koyomi's mind..................................

i wonder how strong and invincible phoenix would be if he was able to return from the sun.

  27. 火野 映司 Says:

He wasn't just a "rich kid" that liked to travel. Did you even read the subs?

    It's all about the underpants.

He's more of a nomad aka Hobo.

  28. Anonymous Says:

I'm guessing Haruto's next enemy is somehow connected to his past. Otherwise, this back story is useless.

  29. Anonymous Says:

Agree with Anon on May 24 at 7:44

Haruto's soccer player background will add nothing to the story, if they want to do anything around Haruto's backstory then I think it should be on Haruto lost his parents more.

How about you be quiet and wait and see Before you make that judgement this is Kamen rider. We thought the high school story was gonna be filler and then we met Mayu and got medusas backstory which led to white wizard taking her for training.
Even the arc the shows in now was seemingly filler until wiseman came in and stole harutos mana

I think the thing about OOO is that the rumors were really really interesting.

Eiji was the spoiled brat son of a politician, there was some stuff about a brother who I believe died (my memory is foggy its been quite a while since OOO rumors after all), and that there was more to then what we got.

Buuut in the end OOO ended up showing us more or less what we already had saw. He felt bad about the girl dying and blamed himself. It was a huge let down...

Eiji's stuff was something OOO built up to and honesty didn't really deliver on at all.

This seems to just be a Haruto focus episode that won't really matter much in the long run.

Dude Eiji's backstory was important. He wasn't just a rich kid that liked to travel, he was a rich kid that was trying to help a poor country and found out his money was being used to fund a civil war which KILLED A LITTLE GIRL HE WAS FRIENDS WITH. It explained why he was traveling while working and earning only enough money to survived and explained why he wanted to become OOO. It wasn't just that someone died, it was that he was betrayed by his family and was tricked into funding the war that killed her which killed his desire and set up why he could use the OOO driver and why the purple cores made him go berserk. Theres more to a rider's personality than just "I want to save people" Theres a why there, which usually ties into the theme of the story. Like Eiji's having to do with desire.

    He was an idol...

Haruto wasn't a professional player, but he was aiming to go pro along side his buddy.

Everything about Wizard is copying past heisei rider ideas. It is so blatant. Wizard just dosent cut it out for me. Fast forward to next rider please.

Oh please, barely anything is original these days.
