One Piece Manga on Two-Week Hiatus, Eiichiro Oda Hospitalized

Shonen Jump announces that One Piece manga author Eiichiro Oda had been hospitalized for a peritonsillar abscess, a complication due to an infection caused by tonsillitis. With that, the popular pirate adventure manga will be on hiatus for two weeks.

One Piece manga is expected to return on June 10th. Shueisha apologized to fans who were looking forward to the next chapter. Last March, Oda also put the manga on a one-week break, and returned in the following issue on the 25th.

[SPOILERS AHEAD] In the most recent chapter, Chapter 709 "King Punch!!", with Hack defeated and the remaining fighters reduced to 24, the battle royale is nearly over. Bellamy faces off Bartolomeo while at the same time Bluegilly defeats Ricky. Meanwhile, Franky is informed by the toy soldier that he is part of an operation to destroy the SMILE factory.

    OMG, Oda!! Stop worrying me....

Maybe it is the time for him just relax, enjoy the life, and start just handing the scripts in and let someone else do the hard work - the drawing and stuff! XD

Just because he promised some flashbacks of Dressrosa and I was dying to see it.... 2 weeks...? Ok, it will be tough and painful but I will survive it.... But yu better take that time and recover once and for all!! ò_ó

    Ganbare, Oda-sensei! Odaiji ni!
